      I took my car into the business I am filing a complaint against for a squealing sound coming from my car. I was informed that I needed a new transmission after they took it for a test drive. I asked an employee at the business if they know and would be able to replace the transmission on June 30, 2021. They confirmed that they could, so we went through the process of ordering a transmission which I paid a down payment of $900 (I did not receive a receipt for this transaction, due to it being taken over the phone). I received a call stating that they did not know if the transmission needed to be calibrated, but it was not operating properly. They informed me that they needed to tow it to a facility to get it programed. I informed them that they should have known about the need to program before taking my car and giving me a quote. They ended up taking my car on one of their personal trailers and the job was complete which I paid an additional $482.10. The squealing continued after being told the transmission was the culprit of the squealing. I noticed a leak on my garage floor about a month after picking it up. I contacted them and they said they would take a look at it. My car is the only vehicle that stays in the garage, so I knew the leak was coming from my car. They took it for a drive and informed me that it was fine, and I did not need to worry about anything. They informed me that the leak could have been from another car in the garage. I informed them about my car being the only one in the garage. They stated that it was driving and handling properly and that there was no repair needed. I continued driving the car normally until I began smelling a burnt smell from my car. I checked the transmission fluid where I found that there was absolutely no fluid in the transmission. I contacted the business once again on March 23, 2022..... I have included an attachment with the entirety of information in the upload section to provide details about the complaint.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/27) */ Contact Name and Title: William ***** Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: **********@gmail.com After investigation of the complaint we have found that previous repair of the transmission was improperly install by no tightening up transmission bolt properly. The technician that install the used transmission is no longer employeed. I discussed the repaires done on the 2 repairs with S&S Transmission. They stated that the reference to the statement about the new transmission wasn't installed was misunderstood by customer. She new it was a used transmission. It was a used transmission not a new transmission from our supplier. The need to have transmission adaptives reset. We was unable to do and checked locally to have done. Had to take to Midland Texas to the Mitsubishi dealer to have computer and transmission reflashed. The original repair had a 12 month or 12.000 mile warranty. She had 15,430 miles on her transmission. She had warranty on the last repair as well but needed to be done at our facility. So we are offer a good will policy refund of $250.00.
