Herring Bank sent me a letter about a late payment notice for January 2023, which took 3 weeks to get processed. this was also during the time of an Ice storm in Texas and I called the customer service three times, which each time the customer service person just transferred me which the call went to voice mail. I am being charged a late fee and have a late pmt notice on my account due to Herring Bank's inability to process my payment during an ice storm and yet charging me a late fee.

Herring Bank deeply regrets the issues Ms. ***** recently experienced in making her January 2023 loan payment as well as in difficulties reaching an employee at that bank that could provide help. We have initiated a review of Ms. ******* calls to the bank in an effort to improve our customer service. We have waived the late fee and reversed any adverse reporting that was associated with the payment issue. We have also reached out Ms. ***** by phone to apologize for the problem and provide her with contact information for her loan officer so she has resources for future needs.

Jacob ******* had 2012 Chevy Colorado repossessed by ******** Motor Co. And is charging $1300 plus more for *** ******** claims damage to Chevy Colorado like bad battery. I am attaching my payments and receipts of new battery I've purchased and other vehicle expenses this used vehicle has cost me, not including a $6000 plus bill I had to endure relacing the ingine as Jacob ******* let *** ******** charge me an extra $895 from the engine bill. I complained about this extra charge and *** ******** claims it was a mistake and reimbursed me only $585 back as you can view on my statements. I'm also letting known Jacob ******* freely discussed my business with the bank without my knowledge to ********** bail bonds ***** ******* I had no idea *** ******** and Jacob ******* conspired to repossesse the Chevy Colorado, I learned of this after I called *** and found out though him. Next day I received a letter of repossession letter.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/11) */ Ms. ******* ******* purchased a Chevrolet Colorado vehicle from ******** Motors in Clarendon, Texas. ******** Motors sold the dealer papers to Herring Bank as a 100% dealer recourse paper. Ms. ******* contacted the Bank and let Jacob ******* know the vehicle was in possession of ********** Bail Bonds. Ms. ******* informed Mr. ******* that she put the vehicle up for collateral on a $2,000 bond to get her son out of jail. Ms. ******* paid the Bail Bond $700 and then had her son put back in jail. Ms. ******* stated she did not owe any more funds to the Bail Bondsman, but they would not release the Chevrolet Colorado. The Bail Bondsman contacted Jacob ******* about the vehicle, and he let them know the Bank had first lien on the Chevrolet Colorado. However, the contact with the Bail Bondsman was not Ms. ***** ******* Jacob ******* also let **** ******** of ******** Motors know of the situation, as the Bank purchased the Dealer Paper from ******** Motors, and they guaranteed the note. After Mr. ******** and Jacob ******* had conversation with Ms. ******* and she stated she would not continue to pay on the Chevrolet Colorado or resolve the issue with the Bail Bondsman to release the vehicle, **** ******** paid the Bail Bondsman the $1,300 they stated they were owed to obtain possession of the collateral and protect this collateral. Ms. ******* stated she did not owe the Bail Bondsman any more money. ******** Motors did a note for the engine repairs, which Ms. ******* agreed and signed. The Bank purchased the note for the engine repair, and it is 100% guaranteed by Mr. ********* Jacob ******* let **** ******** of ******** Motors know of the issue, however this was a problem between ******** Motors and Ms. ******* as the Bank just purchases the Dealer paper. **** ******** told Ms. ******* he had to purchase a battery for the vehicle as his expense which he indicated she had not reimbursed him at this time. Any issues with the battery are between ******** Motors and Ms. ******* as the Bank. At the present time, ******** Motors has possession of the vehicle and is working with the Bank to resolve the issue. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I did not put up Chevy Colorado for collateral. There is no paperwork on any indications of this fact. Look at the bank statements and see I have been on time with my payments even ahead of schedule of what was owed to the bank. *** ******** is lying about battery and other damages of truck. I sent proof of new battery and other vehicle repairs. I sent proof of the over charges *** ******** tried to do for the engine repair. No one consulted to me about repossession of Chevy Colorado. There is no Profesionalisom on herring Bank behalf and the trust is gone. Please, fix this misunderstanding and admit your mistakes. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/04/14) */ This complaint has nothing to do with Herring Bank. It appears Ms. ******* is complaining about the bill owed to the bailbond and the battery and other repairs that were paid for by **** ********* As stated in our first response, it appears Ms. ******* gave possession of the vehicle to the bailbond company in lieu of her paying the bond. ******** is guarantor of the loan and he paid the bailbond company in order to protect his collateral position and the bond company gave him possession of the vehicle. This has nothing to do with Herring Bank. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/04/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) What you are staying what appears is not true, I did not put Chevy Colorado up for collateral, my complaint is on a repossession made by Harrington Bank. I provided bank statements and the repossession letter. I'm wanting to get justice on how business is conducted here in Clarendon tx. I'm up to date on my payments. As of *** ********* he made the financial decision to pay a fee without talking to me as I was going to civil court about my situation with ****** ****** whom was holding the truck with no legal grounds. *** ******** failed to ask for proof of a contract or agreement of money owed. my truck was not in danger, this has to do with the bank sending and conducting a repossession when my account was not in default.
