On 8/25/2023 I filled out a delivery form for a septic tank I purchased from Vaughn Concrete Products. I selected the delivery method needed to set the tank in the hole, which was a boom truck. On the form, I also had to select what payment method I would be using. I selected cash, signed and dated the form, and sent it back to them. When the tank arrived at my job site, it came on a monorail truck. This truck was incapable of setting the tank in the hole, which was part of the deal when the tank was purchased. I called to talk to them about the issue and they told me it was my job to verbally tell them I needed a boom truck, even though I filled out their form with the correct selections. They were very rude and told me they would just take the tank back and we could figure something else out. Due to the fact that they didn't complete the job by sending the tank on the correct truck and did not set it in the hole. I will now have to rent a 15,000 lb lifting capacity telehandler at $800 for the day plus pay a $350 delivery fee, and a $350 pickup fee. They knew that I would be paying cash which was never discussed in email or over the phone, I selected that option on the same delivery from which the type of truck needed was selected. I believe Shauna was not happy about a previous interaction we had and sent the tank on the wrong truck intentionally. Their mistake, as previously stated, has cost me a lot more money, as well as delayed the job. I feel that Vaughn should have to refund me at minimum the $1,500 added expense, due to their failure to read the delivery form and send the tank on the correct truck.Business response

After researching the information you provided and our notes, we will not be offering this customer a refund. We are not going to get in a debate with this customer (who was difficult to deal with from the start of our interactions with him). We use this system to coordinate deliveries with customers throughout the panhandle area and have never had this issue before. We wish him well.
