My family first checked in with this hotel 07/08/2022. I paid a $100 deposit plus $75 deposit for my animals and room rate for 3 days. We were given a room with a full sized refrigerator because I told the desk clerk we would be staying for an extended period, I just wasn't sure how long. We were in this same room for 11 months. I paid my room rate daily because it is posted no refunds no exceptions at the desk and the staff made a habit of finding reasons to kick people out. I stayed through 3 or more general managers and numerous desk clerks. The first problem we ran into was our cards on file being charged for ridiculous amounts of money without permission and when asked we were told they didn't know what was going on or why. This happened to several guests at the same time so I can only assume it was an employee stealing guests money. We were never credited or reimbursed. And we never received an explanation. We were constantly being charged twice for the same day because they desk clerk didn't put our payment in the computer and didn't give us receipts so we had no proof. This happened alot. About a week into our stay the refrigerator stopped working and the TV went out. We notified the front desk but nothing was ever done. So I bought my own mini fridge and TV. We dealt with fights, needles in the halls, blood on the walls, sinks wouldn't drain, toilets wouldn't flush. The roaches are so bad they are in the beds and I never saw an exterminator even though we were notified to prepare the room for one, twice. He never came. We stayed because we had no choice. I was limited on money and it was close enough to walk to my job. I was informed by a friend that after 30 days they are not suppose to continue charging taxes, as in the state of Texas we were considered tenants according to the statutes. When we brought this to their attention, they laughed at us. We would like all that tax money collected everyday returned to us.
