We recently bought a single wide with Amarillo Home Center. Shortly after we moved in, we noticed most of the shingles weren’t stuck down on the roof. They’ve sent someone out three times to fix it, but it never stays fixed. The shingles are awful. We got a call from the home center saying we no longer had home insurance, but weren’t sure why. Turns out ******** dropped us because the roof was so bad. They came out and inspected our house a month after closing. Now we have to find a last minute new home insurance, and likely have to replace the whole roof. ******** was under the impression that a guy named Michael at Amarillo Home Center had been taking back and forth with us about the home insurance. We don’t even know who Michael is, we’ve never talked to him. We’ve been kept in the dark about not having home insurance. We also never received anything from Allstate. We can’t afford a new roof, that’s something that they should’ve had done right in the first place. Amarillo Home Center needs to cover our difference in insurance, and completely replace our roof. After three times of sending someone out to fix shingles, they have yet to get done right. They’re not fixable. The ******** agent we talked to even mentioned another instance of a man having to do the exact same thing with Amarillo Home Center.
