      "On January 16, 2024 I ordered eye glasses using my vision insurance coverage. The frames were previously paid by ***** Health insurance on 8/11/2023in the amount of $103.35 which Joel told be would be held at the place of business. I was told it would be an additional $50 which I paid at the time. I have not received glasses from Joel ***** after numerous attempts. Look Optical closed the office and locked the doors to the entrance to customers by reservation only, Multiple attempts for reservations have been ignored. I am unable to use by insurance because of this fraud. I have additionally requested my prescription so that I can purchase glasses elsewhere ( being on social security limited income), but once again have been ignored.

      I ordered glasses December 23, 2022 and paid my co-pay. The remaining balance was to be collected by the insurance. I never received my glasses. I contacted Joel (owner) on multiple occasions without any direct answer. He lied to may multiple times, saying he would hand deliver my glasses yet he never did. Because of his lies, I missed out on my 2022 vision insurance benefits. My main concern is that his next victim may possibly be elderly and on a strict income. Isn't it against the law to collect co-pays without processing the order/claim?

      On March 14th of 2022. I had a eye examination for new glasses. Ordered glasses on same day,paid 107.00. It is now Feb 23.2023. Still no glasses. I have called, left messages, no one has returned my calls. I have stopped by the business and went in to check on the glasses, and received numerous explanation why the glasses have not arrived yet.

      On March 5th of this year both my spouse and I were seen at Look Optical. We then ordered glasses from them and paid $249.00 on our credit card. To date we still do not have our product. We have called repeatedly to try to resolve this issue with the business and have had no luck. I called and talked to the office manager on Wednesday August 10th, 2022 and he advised that they were expecting the glasses to be in either later that day or the next day. I tried to call him back on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 and left a message on their VM. I left another message on Friday August, 19th, 2022 asking that he refund our money and email our prescriptions, so we could go somewhere else. I have tried to call twice a day every day since and they do not take my call. My husband went through something similar in June; however, I do not have the dates of the calls. We would like our money back and our prescription, so we can go elsewhere.

Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2022/09/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The business provided a full refund after the complaint was filed. We received our refund on September 3rd. The only reason they provided the refund is to circumvent the complaint. Had they been honest about our product from the beginning and made it right sometime within the 8 months we were contacting them, this complaint could have been avoided.
