My fiance and I hired a company an hour out of town to come replace our roof after a hailstorm that took place in June of 2023. We hired them to come out and do an estimate in late June-early July. It took them two months to contact us back and actually come do the estimate on our roof. We figured it was due to the severity of the hailstorm, and the volume of customers that all similar businesses were experiencing. They did an estimate in September, and in late September, early October My fiance ***** *. ******, signed a contract for work with Patriot Roofing out of Amarillo Texas. We sent them a check with the insurance money provided by our insurance company on the house for 7k. The going rate for a brand new roof and labor, as we were told. It is now April 2nd 2024, and we still have yet to receive this new roof. We were given excuse after excuse for three months about how "busy" they were and how they would get someone out to see us ASAP. This never happened. We never got calls back, and were the ones to initiate every conversation. In December of 2023 I had enough of being played with, so I called the office and very sternly but respectfully inquired as to WHY we were still waiting on work to be done when they had already been paid. The secretary apologized profusely and assured me that they would have someone contact us immediately. A week later, my fiance got a message from patriot explaining that they had been very behind in work, and asked if we needed anything else done in the meantime as an apology. We agreed to have them replace my front screen door, and take down a falling apart small dog run fence. They did the work, and assured us that the roof would be handled after the holiday/ first of the year. However, it went right back to the same song and dance of trying to get a hold of them, and being told "next week" repeatedly. Now it's April, and I just want this done with, whether in the form of a refund, or work completed. Please help us.Business response

As soon as I saw this I contacted her to apologize and make it right. My husband has been out due to an illness so I took over everything to do with the company and somehow this didn’t get passed along to me. I apologize profusely. This is not how we do business. I am sending my roofer out this week to do the roof. If I would’ve known about this earlier I would’ve made it right. I’m sorry they had this experience and I will be doing the roof this week.
