11/19/2021 - bought an engine from Diesel Surplus (DS) for $11,156. DS gave us a **** of lading #*********, with a shipment date of 12/10/2021 and delivery on 12/16/2021. It was a running engine with all accessories, and only had 300k miles and a 6-month warranty.The engine never arrived. We called DS in Georgia and with difficulty reached **** ****** He said it had been shipped so we kept waiting.12/29/2021 - We asked the shipper FreightQuote/*********************** (CHR) for help. CHR said they went to pick it up but the engine was not ready and were told to return in 2 days. CHR returned and it was still not ready. CHR's policy is to cancel a shipment after 10 days and advised me to tell DS to call them and set up a new shipment. 12/29/2021 - We called DS after CHR and explained the situation to them. I asked for my money back. **** received the message. 01/05/2022 - DS shipped the engine through ABF Freight, and delivered on 01/12/2022. Upon inspection the engine has missing accessories, the oil pump has been removed, the oil pan has been removed and is broken, the camshaft is ***** and pitted, one crankshaft bearing cap is missing, and according to the mechanic the motor is seized and won't turn.We called DS but found it impossible to reach anyone. I have called the ***** location and the Georgia location where it was shipped but no answer.01/16/2021 - used DS's online system to get in line for a response as it was a holiday. DS never called.01/18/2021 - called DS and angrily **** said there is nothing we can do and to stop bothering.01/19/2021 - called DS's ***** location under a different number listed under a different address in BBB. No answer. **** later called up as the call was likely forwarded. He angrily refused to let us speak. We requested a refund and asked why they ignored their own policies. **** said he would call back in 10 minutes with a reason, and never did.
