I found this stylist on Instagram and it seemed like she does AMAZING work so I PAID a $50 deposit and booked her service on April 28th for my daughters hair and makeup for her 8th grade prom taking place on May 19th. I was a bit weary of booking with her because she required a copy of your driver's license when booking. Which I never had to do before but I got a referral for her from a trusted source so I uploaded my id to book the appointment. Well I made numerous contacts with Ms. ******************** to try to inquire about the type of hair she would need for my daughter's hair and got NO RESPONSE. I reached out via Instagram, email and her website. Then the same week that she was due to provide services, May 13th to be exact. She sent an email saying she was cancelling all her appointments to focused on one of her other trades and yo expect a REFUND in about 5-8 business day. This in fact did upset me but business is business so at the time I understood. It has now been almost a month and I have yet to see a refund and still have no idea what she did with the driver's license she required to be uploaded to book appointment. Seems very much like a scam to me but I just would like my deposit refunded. I tried to reach out about that as well and still have received no response. On Thursday November 24, 2022 I booked an appointment with Avonlea Camille. I sent her a deposit of $40 dollars to reserve my appointment from my cashapp card. She advised me to purchase numerous items that amounted to $111.98. She quoted me $181 dollars to do my hair not including the price of the hair style. I received various confirmation emails confirming my appointment and time. I drove one hour and ten minutes to get to the salon. I arrived an hour early to ensure that I was their in a timely manner. I went to walk into the establishment at 1:50 PM (appointment time 2:00 PM) . The door was unlock but her suite door was locked. I began to send messages through ******** messenger but the calls were ignored. I proceeded to send emails however I kept receiving email responses stating that the email address was invalid. At this point I was calling through ******** but she would not answer. I sat there waiting for two additional hours in hope that she would return. I then drove an hour and ten minutes back home. I then posted on her ******** page and she responded by saying to respond to her through email. My response was that I had messaged her about it already. I have tried several times to get my deposit back but she has yet to return it. I had to pay someone else $70 dollars to do my hair. The unprofessionalism was ridiculous! 19.1K followers and the blatant disrespect for no regards to my money or my time. I booked her to do my daughters hair for graduation. The day of the appointment she cancelled and has yet to refund my security deposit. She said she refunded it and it would take 5-7 business days its now been 16 days since she cancelled the appointment 15 days since she said she refunded the money
