      THE WORST I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS The first issue we had with this company was them trying to back out of putting up a fence they had previously stated was included in the purchase of the home. They promised that all the homes would get a fence, then they said it was the home owners responsibility.The next issue(s) started happening after living in the home. You can tell it was so cheaply made. All the door handles fell off with in a month of moving in. The weather seal that they put on the front door was a joke. The doorbell camera that they installed was crooked and so was the locks on the front door. We were told that we have to provide the paint for the home because what they currently have on the walls is white wash. Who sells a home and then tell the home owners you have to paint it yourself? UNBELIEVABLE. The sink and faucet that they provided in the kitchen I think stopped being used in the 1970s. Its small outdated, cumbersome and just plain ugly. It's so hard to do the dishes because water splashes everywhere because its so shallow and small. I have requested for them to address some of these issues, especially the door handles and the weather strip because it causes cool air to escape, until today they still have not showed up.

      We purchased our home July 21, 2023. We filed a ticket with multiple thins that needed to be repaired. The biggest one was about the grading. The grading was so bad it created pooling in our backyard. All the things on the ticket were repaired, but that. I followed up with Junior multiple times, who works for DR *********************** and he told me they were well aware of the problem and a lot of people in our community have that issue and it will be taken care of. Five and half months after placing that ticket and the problem still not rectified, we decided to put a pool in. We are still under warranty with DR *********************** The warranty is for a full year after closing. Now, that we put in a pool they are saying that grading issue isn't their problem and it voided our warranty. How is that voiding our warranty? We put in the ticket August 9, 2023 two weeks after we closed on the house? They had almost 6 months to fix it and never did. Now, they still don't want to fix it and its almost a year. We has the *** water manager come out and check our property. He states that the berm in the back of our property and the easement are not built properly. This is an issue that they are responsible for and they are jeopardizing our property and personal belongings every time it rains. We are in hurricane season and we are praying that nothing happens. We have been going back and forth with them and they still haven't fix it. We now have to take matter in our own hand to save our property and personal belongings from being damage. Terrible service!! They just keep lying to you and have to keep calling and emailing them and they still haven't fix it.

      Ive had new build of a Villa in October of 2021 is when Ive closed. *** had numerous issues with my place and still having issues. From the start the walls arent taped correctly as they all fall apart in the seams. They did come out to fix with just caulking them again and now left to deal with them again. Roof had a leak because it was poor workmanship it wasnt covered under the roof warranty. Now I left dealing with a leak somewhere in a couple of rooms as baseboards are wet with water stains. Went to DR *********************** Office in *************** last Thursday 6/13 and still waiting to be scheduled with no response from emails. Ive put in a claim with the warranty department still waiting to hear whats next. Was told if the water is seeping through foundation it wouldnt be covered. Told the lady from warranty I had no clue what was going on other than I have water stains on a few baseboards.

      I purchased my home in April 2024 from D.R. *********************** The night mare builder of America. From day one I have had problems with my air conditioner and it is still not fixed properly. My front door cannot be used because it was put on crooked and allowing air to come in so it is all taped up. Funny my warranty person who came out said it was "within code." I guess that's their excuse to get out of fixing things. I have 7 interior doors that will not close. 2 1/2 weeks ago someone came out to try to fix them and made them worse. I now have interior doors with partial framing around them. They said they had to be reframed and would be back. They haven't returned. I contacted my warranty person 2 x to see if they were coming back to fix my doors but they will not respond to my emails so I'm not sure if anyone is coming back. My kitchen interior cabinet has a whole in it. My kitchen doors don't close/open properly and trim is missing/damaged. The caulking in this home looks like a 2 year old did it. There are big gaps all over the house with no caulking. Some of my master bath tiles are damaged and they filled it with grout to cover it up. My lanai is pitched wrong so when it rains all the water comes in and pools by the corner of my bedroom wall and around my lanai screen door. That will become a water issue. These are just some of the items that concern me. I have over 30 items that I submitted to the warranty department. My past experience with warranty person was they would call you and say someone will contact you about this or follow up on it. This company the warranty customer service people are either nasty or silent. I am at a loss and contemplating legal advise as maybe that is the only way D.R ********************** will stand by their warranty. They really need to train their customer service people on how to talk to customers. I think they forget that we pay their salary by buying their homes. I would never buy another D.R. ********************** home again or recommend them to anyone.

      My roof was not properly installed and DR ********************** won't do anything for me. Everytime we get a medium size storm I lose shingles. I've had to patch my roof 6+ times from winds that should not be blowing shingles off. I've had to do drywall work 3 times from water leaks due to shingles flying off. I cannot afford to pay $20k for a new roof right now!!! The house was built in 2018 and needed a new roof since day one. I've submitted 2 warranty requests.... they have not helped me fix my roof. This house has become a nightmare because of the roof.

      Hello ****.  Thank you for your review. As your home closed escrow in 2018 shingle replacement is no longer covered by your home warranty and is considered to be part of homeowner maintenance.

      Most horrible quality ever known. Caulking doesn't last through the 1 yr warranty and they don't cover caulking under their warranty. Found Corona bottles in the house and attic during and after the build. They have zero shame in stealing people's hard earned money, Run away from this Builder!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

      Where do I start?! I closed 12/3/24 on my home and have had several problems. I had door handles that were coming off, the garage door was off track, spots needed touch up paint and other minor things. These things were corrected but they shouldve been addressed before I moved in. The problem ** having now is with my PRIVACY FENCE. I paid x amount of dollars to have my fence installed only to be told that it went over the property line. I am putting my fence back up and I will seek LEGAL COUNSEL if need be. Mind you, the *** were the ones who told me I didnt go back far enough on the property. We adjusted the dimensions now months later the fence had to be taken down. The builder advised me that if I go from stake to stake on my neighbors property then that would be my property line and that HE WOULD send another surveyor out to resurvey. Ok great! Then he came back and advised that I need to get a surveyor to come out and survey the land myself. So they took down my fence and now I have to pay to put it back up and pay for a surveyor. I HATE I BOUGHT THIS HOME. This was my lil peace of the American Dream and honestly DR ********************** just made it a nightmare. Also the *** isnt any better. They dont want you to have company at your home. If cars are parked on the streets they have something to say. They shouldve made extra parking in the community for visitors. This experience has been horrible. I will tell anyone NEVER TO PURCHASE A DR HOME. I understand why they are being sued for everything. As soon as I find a home I will be selling.

      Bought my home in November 2023 and have had nothing but issues with the Superintendant and the Warranty Team. First, we had an inspection scheduled before closing and upon arrival, the home was not completed for the inspection to take place. The mechanical and electrical was not yet complete and we had to reschedule a week later for inspection. Not only did my wife and I have to take time off work, but we were also charged a $50 fee. After inspection and the report was handed off, we came up with a plan with the superintendent to fix the remaining items on the punch list prior to moving in. They fixed 1 item of the 14 in 7 days and kept apologizing for dropping the ball. Then we made another plan to get our punch list completed. It is about to be **** and we have made little progress on our punch list. We have asked the super multiple times but have not been provided a response. Then we submitted to the warranty team. The woman showed up, seemd to document almost nothing, then left and said they would start working on this. It's now been almost 3 months and there has been no follow up or communication. I have sent multiple emails but haven't received a single response.My wife and I are expecting our first child around the end of our warranty period and need to address the concerns immediately. This has been extremely unprofessional and frustrating for the amount of money we paid to get this house and all the mistakes DR ********************** made. As someone who works in construction project management, lawyers would be involved by now if someone failed to fix mistakes this long and didn't communicate.

      Bought a home from them. First serious thunderstorm we had massive water intrusion around every window, and the floor. About 1 year after a purchase of the brand new home. They denied any responsibility and I ended up spending thousands trying to fix it and on mold remediation. My ex-wife and her son dealt with serious health consequences due to the mold. DR ********************** honestly could not have cared less. For my experience once you've purchased the home, you are in the rear view mirror and they never want to hear from you again. I own another home that wasn't built by them, but by a responsible builder. I have had zero issues. Meanwhile I have spent tens of thousands repairing the brand new home from DR **********************.

      I bought a property with DR ********************** in 2016.They required me to give $5,000 as a deposit. Then I went on a trip to ***** and came back to learn that they had sold my house to someone else. The reason is that my loan has not been approved. They promised before that if the loan is not approved, they will refund the deposit of ??5000. Until now, they have not returned it. I'd like to ask BBB to help me return the deposit.
