First and foremost, regardless of how bad I am, I have to say the services they provided did in fact help my loved one and their mental health. My loved one did an outpatient program where they cycle through helpful topics every 2-3 weeks. These helpful topics helped my loved one and improved her life. That being said, their billing is in fact horrible and their billing customer service is worse. When we first asked them for upfront costs, they sent the estimate attached. Now they are asking an exorbitant amount more than what was estimated. Turns out my insurance has a hefty deductible I have to pay and then I pay 20%.I called their billing insurance. First, they said we can't talk to you because you're not patient. I guess that's regardless of if they used your insurance but ok. That's not too crazy. I have my loved one give me permission to call about. I ask for leadership to review it because I was told the lower amount upfront. They call my loved one and leave a message with the general number to call back (not a direct line - too afraid to talk to me I guess).I call that number back and spend 40 minutes on the phone being told how I would know my insurance better, it is what it is and Texas Health has 0 responsibility in the matter (and they also did nothing wrong - 100% innocent). So the services rendered were good overall (one psych nurse was a jerk but the rest of the staff was great) but their billing *****. If you decide to go with them, which they may still be a viable option, make sure you get an accurate upfront estimate and call your insurance to verify if the estimate they gave you is worth a ****.
