Please do not use this company. I wish I had looked here first. I got MakeMeConstruction off of ‘The Good Contractor’s List.’ This is a list of businesses that profess to operate as Christians If you use a contractor from this list, you are guaranteed satisfaction and all issues resolved (by the company that manages the list.) Unfortunately, when I got the original quote for the fence last year, MMC was on the list but unbeknownst to me, they are not apart of this association any longer (go figure). So I have no recourse other than attorneys which I hate to have to resort to. Situation: I had a fence installed. The fence turned out nice. $13,000.00 fence for a small 1500SF home in Watauga. The problem is that I went to bed without any trees in my yard and woke up to find a significant tree in my yard the next day! (2 trunk tree- 6-7 inches at base) When they flipped the smooth side of the fence out, my neighbor’s tree was in the way so they took it upon themselves to move the fence over in order to miss the tree, WITHOUT ASKING ME OR TELLING ME. This placed my neighbor’s tree into my yard. I proceeded to try to communicate and problem solve with them. My city inspector came out and explained that the only way to know how far the fence was in my neighbor’s yard was to get a new survey. $1300,00! Sean ******* refused to take any responsibility and claims the fence was not moved. Even with a large tree in my yard that wasn’t there before. He refused to pay for a survey. He bullied me (single grandmother who saved 9 years for this fence). He threatened me. The fence was just completed on Friday and I have not paid the final payment yet as I am trying to figure out what to do about the fence line being moved. He just informed me today that he has placed a lien on my home. Today is Wednesday, May 4th. Please take my advice and the other ladies advice and run away fast from Sean ******* with MakeMeConstruction. These people are dishonest and have no integrity.
