I purchased a car from a ********** add for a **** ***** Accord EX that was said to have a clean title with a story about how it was the guys daughters car for the past 7 years, that it was garage kept, that she was a responsible young woman, and many more details that proved not to be true. It turns out the car has a rebuilt title, that it was wrecked and repaired (rear bumper replacement that the sellers brother had me sign to certify that I did the repairs even though I just bought the car on May 27th and its my fault for signing the paper certification form) and he purchased the car from an insurance company on 5/11 just 16 days before he sold it to me. I brought all this up to the sellers brother after the fact (because he had to sign some papers for his brother that was he actual seller) and after all this he offered to refund $300 of my purchase pr let me return the car for a full refund. I accepted the $300 and refund but have yet to receive the full refund even though I was assured I would receive it on the 1st. I reached out to the seller to try and get my money back for the car he lied about in his add and he refused, but then said hed have his brother send me the money. If I get the $300 back than its he agreement we had originally, but my goal in filing this complaint is to ensure that he is not able to lie to anyone else about the cars he is selling and so that he will certify that he did the rear bumper repair so that I can apply for the rebuilt title without lying on a form that its a 3rd degree felony to lie on. I will be reporting him to ********** as well to see if they can take action as well. Thank you for the time and attention to this matter and I do hope you can help ensure that others arent lied to and taken advantage of anymore going forward. Ive also include text and phone records of conversations Ive had with both the seller and his brother.

I am not in any way connected to this.
I never sold a car to *********************************** directly or thru my agents or proxies. ***** abamu is not my agent or proxy!
I sold a car to ***** Abamu of ********************************************** (phone nos ************ & ************) on 5/11/2022 as-is with all paperwork and sale documents properly endorsed and documented. I have called his attention that if otherwise, we will consider it as identity theft.

In that text message *********************************** agreed to a settlement of $300 payment and agreed to accept the vehicle as-is and released ***** abamu of every liability. The payment has been made and received by ********. The text message is hereby attached. ***** abamu considers the payment and acceptance as foreclosing the sale.

      WAY FORWARD
