I was in the market for a new HVAC unit and to add a mini-split to my garage in early August 2022. After soliciting a few quotes from different businesses, I settled on Intelligent Air Services (i-air) for these services. The individual whom I worked with on a quote and on the sell was one of the main selling points for the company as he was well versed with the products and made positive recommendations. Ultimately, I settled on upgrading to the highest efficiency Carrier unit, a mini split for the garage, and upgrading to a 96% efficient gas furnace over my 80%. I was informed this would require up to three days to perform the install as well as the exhaust flue for the furnace would need to be upgraded from metal to plastic which they would complete no problem.The week of the install, Aug 29th, the team arrived and began the install. Due to the complexities, the install took 4 days total, the rainy weather prevented the flue from being installed, the whole house humidifier was unable to be completed, and a missing smart thermostat wasn't installed. The team indicated they'd return when the weather cleared to install the flue and make another trip to finish up the humidifier and install the other thermostat (when it came in from the warehouse). Starting the week of Sept 12, I had yet to hear from iair resulting in a weekly inquiry from myself about the status to each time I was told I would get a call back today/soon/this week on the date of when they would return. This continued for many weeks until the week of Oct 10th. At that time, the weather forecast indicated a cold front with temperatures dropping into the 40s were incoming. After continued inquiries, iair still has yet to come out to connect the flue for my furnace resulting in the gas furnace being unusable and vastly outside of code. I'm filing this complaint in an attempt to have work completed and my house install brought up to local and state code.Business response

We have been in contact with Mr. **** and completed the job on Monday Oct. 31. We sincerely apologize to him for the delay, there was a breakdown in communication on our end that left him without a fully completed job. The work has been finished and we have a quality control visit scheduled for Monday Nov. 7 with one of the owners to make sure everything is complete and correct.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. iAir completed the installation on Oct. 31 and will be making a further return trip to address a few items which were not up to their standard during the ** visit.
