I rented an apartment for my son at ****** of *** Caves unit **** while he was attending ACC. It was a 13 month lease that expires on 2/5/22. I paid the entire lease on time and paid it in full on 1/1/22. The first week of January he left to ********** to interview for a job, so in the event he did not get back to ****** by 2/5/22 he left his keys at the front desk. He was told to keep the electricity on until the 5th. He did. The apartment immediately took possession in his absence then sent the attached **** for clean up and repair. First there possession was premature and they changed the keys even though they were paid in full until 2/5/22 and second my husband and I were in the apartment the last week of December and there was no damage incurred by my son. There was however black mold and peeling paint due to a leak that the apartment had not fixed. The complex now attempts to charge me and my son for maintenance that they needed to do..This is consumer fraud at best.Business response

We took over the property and do not have this previous resident in our system and would not be able to see or assist with prior ledger.

I am rejecting this response because:The resident in the system is **************************** unit **** and me ************************* as co-signer. ************** is cc'd on this response.I just logged into the apartment portal and they still show this account active and a balance due.
The apartment manager ********************************* has emailed me stating this account has been zero'd out and the early termination was deleted and yet ******** Estates continue to show a past amount due to a false early termination fee.
Please ask the to remove this past due amount post haste as it is false.
