Went in to Daves Ultimate Automotive for a service on my 2019 Land Rover on 4/28/2023. To get my rear break pads and rotors replaced, I had specified that for these cars they must use manufacturer/dealers parts only. They said okay, that they would order them in and proceeded with the service. 3 days after the service my breaks were squeaking loud so I went back in to have them checked. They claimed there was nothing wrong with the breaks and that they didnt hear anything while performing break tests. They also claimed that its normal for breaks to squeak when they are just replaced. I drove with the car like that for almost 3 months squeaking at every stop before taking it to Land Rover ****** and they sent me a picture of the rear brakes that showed it being after market parts placed on my vehicle. Daves Automotive wrote on my receipt that they used Land Rover parts with Land Rovers serial numbers yet the actual parts of the vehicle were false and I was mislead into fraud from this company. I spent $1,366.31 for fictitious Land Rover parts. I want my full refund. There is no excuse for businesses to scam people and lie to their faces about work that was never done correct in the first place. Disappointing.

Hey there, we did use original equipment brakes, just not Land Rover brakes. Land Rover does not make their brake components, Textar and Bosch do. The Land Rover dealer misleaded the customer into believing we used cheap aftermarket product. Regardless, when she called us to discuss the matter and requested a full refund, we agreed to refund the amount she paid for the rear brake service. In the amount she requested were other services in which there are no issues, so we didnt feel a full refund was warranted. We are currently awaiting the return of our parts, and in exchange we will refund her the $8XX she paid for the rear brake service, which she agreed was fair!!

I am rejecting this response because I did not agree in only receiving a little over 800 in refund as its not a fault on my part that you used aftermarket breaks. Pictures show that you put Land Rovers serial number for the breaks on the receipt (which is part of scamming) because the serial number on the actual breaks you put on didnt match. You didnt do additional work on my vehicle. Trying to charge me for labor isnt my fault that you chose to proceed with doing my breaks even when you didnt have the correct parts for it. Causing me danger while driving knowing that the breaks were squeaking with break residue all over my rims. I drove with it like that for the past 3 months because you said it was normal. Its not. Taking advantage of people for your own gain is not okay.

      Regards,
