This is Defiantly the Austin dealership. It is clean on the inside. Sales people look professionally dressed and will make sales on cars they can not offer; in addition, they have alot of inventory, they use as a bait and switch technique online and in the front lot inventory.Example. Look for availability on line found 1 or 2 of what we wanted but no the color. Did see a few used that matched up. Called they were available. Made a 1.5 hour trip. Was told all were still available. Test drove. Still was told we could buy that car. Got a price sales person went in twice with management and made a deal. Then came in agreed and in ***** we shock on it said it was sold and a deal had struck.(we asked three times are you sure we can buy this vehicle with its setup each time was a yes)He left to get us the keys. Came back and said well someone saw it earlier, wants to maybe buy it and now we would put us in a like vehicle with less adminities,no air ride, no speaker set up and not blacked out. Nearly 20 thousand in upgrades.(Bait and switch definition)(texas handshake contract) we asked for our ID, and information back.Lose of confidence to drive round trip 3 hours and sit through 1.5 hours to have this level of experience.Does not provide a level of professionalism for this type of car brand.Again-several carsales individuals. Alot of lower attrition models with similar make **** More than any other within 60 miles.Dallas maybe a better options.Postive-volvo has good warranty and plenty of cars in the lobby.Negative-bait and switch, like several others but it happened while we were there trying to sign paperwork after the handshake had happen. The manager already knows. No replied needed on the post other than. Yes we did this. Thank u

Bait and switch is defined as " false advertising in which the vendor advertises a deal they don't intend to honor" . That is not what happened in this case. Two customers were trying to buy the same vehicle dealing with 2 different salesmen and two different sales managers at the same time. Unfortunately the customer that ended up purchasing the vehicle had been negotiating with a manager before this customer agreed to purchase the vehicle. It literally happened at the same time, both customers were in the dealership and only one customer could ultimately buy it.

Ive had nothing but issues with both locations. January 3rd took my car in to the Volvo off the I35 Frontage Rd, Austin, ** The next day ******* called me to ask if the car had been struck by lightning, it wasnt. It needed a new Transmission Control Module. $2K+ and 30 days later on February 2nd, the car was ready. Upon picking up my car, I got in and the dashboard told me to pull over immediately so I turned it off. I told ******* what the dash had told me. I hadnt even put it in drive and theres issues. So, we popped the hood together to see what was going on. It was at this moment that I saw there were tools left in the engine compartment. A couple sockets and an extension that would have caused severe damage but, it warning was due to the coolant reservoir was almost completely empty. I was beyond frustrated, especially after being told the car had been test driven and washed and was ready to be picked up. It wasnt ready. He recovered to tools and put in coolant and said it was safe to drive,Driving home, the check engine light came on. I had already ran the codes with another auto shop before taking it to the dealership. Now I discovered that there were now several new DTCs after it was fixed. The one that bothered me, the most was the airbag said it wasnt functioning now. The whole reason why I bought a Volvo is for the safety of the car. The ************ location was closer to me and they are the same owners so, I decided to try my luck at this new location. I spoke with ***** and felt confident that these new issues would be resolved. Unfortunately, theres now new issues with the car again! This time, when I got into my car to drive away again, my air conditioner wont come on. The air wont even blow at all. Also, the stereo wont turn on! In the past I had always had a great experience with this brand. Volvo itself has gone downhill dramatically or its just these two locations that are ruining Volvos reputation.

Car was brought into the Austin location (2010 model year with over 100k miles and a first time visit to our store) as a no start (wouldn't run) and disassembled in many areas (someone else tried worked on it is the assumption).  We got it running. This is a 14-year-old vehicle with many issues. We worked on specific line items. The recent visit was at our ************ location to clear an airbag light. The car has some aftermarket work (soldered parts of the electrical system) that could cause electrical issues.  After repairing the concern, we never checked the ** (not on the concern list) which had a blown fuse. ************************* did get a voicemail from the client at approximately 4:30pm on the 04/29/2024. This was the first and only VM he has received from this customer.  Before reaching out he wanted the car to be looked at, which was completed this morning. The fuse has corrected the ** issue. We have reached out today and have not heard back as of 11:48am. Less than ************************************************************** my experience.

From top to bottom, this is a company that does not care about their customers or the customer experience, even if you have been a loyal Volvo customer for over 25 years. My brand new XC60 (4 months, *****+ miles) exhibited a life-threatening defect - it just stopped operating at intersections. Took it to Volvo Cars of Austin and they spent two weeks figuring out that it might have to do with the electrical system, then replaced the battery and told me it was fixed. They did not explain what made them think the new battery was better than the old one, what made them think that the battery had an issue, or what should make me think that the car woudl not repeat the problem in four months' time.During the service process, the Service representative would not return my phone calls and then, when I drove into the shop to check the status of my car, told me he was too busy to retrun phone calls or report status. When I asked that the dealer buy back the car based on its defect, suggesting that the car was a lemon, the Service General Manager's response (while sitting there wearing his Volvo shirt) was that "any such claim is between you and the manufacturer; we're just the dealer." The General Manager and Owner, both of whom were on property at the time, could not be bothered to talk to me about the issue, using the Sevrice GM as their messenger boy, presumably to avoid having to talk to a customer who had a problem with the product they had sold me for $60,000 (not to mention a customer who had spent over $250,000 with that same shop over 7 years). I wound up selling it back to them with an almost complete loss of my $22,500 equity. I am sure they will re-sell it to some other poor consumer. This company has a terrible attitude towars their customers when things go wrong. I will never buy a Volvo ever again, but if I did I would certainly not buy from this outfit. Nor would I buy a ****** from their Georgetown business.

This car company does not know what they are doing. They did a hard credit inquiry 3 times on my boyfriend's and my credit for a cash payment. We specifically asked ****** twice if it would be a soft or hard inquiry before signing the paperwork otherwise we would not have signed. I would rather have taken a second trip to come back with a cashier's check or even freaking cold hard cash than letting them do a hard inquiry since we are in the process of buying a house. This completely screwed us over. ****** from the financial department even asked us what the difference what between a hard and soft inquiry when we had her call us back. How does your finance department not know that? I have never worked in finances at all and I know the difference! She also told us on the phone that she " had never had anyone have a problem with it before." Even if that was true, (which I doubt it with 25% of her sales being cash -her estimate not mine) that just means that she got lucky enough to have people that 1. didn't know the difference or 2. didn't care because when not buying a house, it's only mildly inconvenient instead of detrimental to the buyers. I am extremely upset that yesterday she said she would call us today with answers but she has seemingly avoided our calls all day. I think this dealership needs to have it's license to loan money taken away until they can get some proper training. I expect a full, satisfying solution by tomorrow (11/13/21) or I will be filing complaints with the credit bureau and much more. I have absolutely no problem getting lawyers involved in your negligence.
