I have canceled this service they provide and yet they continue to negativity affect my credit score! They took out a loan in my name and refuse to return the money I have already paid to them. This app and/or company is a SCAM and needs to be stopped. Its impossible to cancel this app once you have signed up and would appreciate any help on getting them to stop lowering my credit score.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE TRYING TO BUILD YOUR CREDIT! They send your stuff to the credit bureaus but they dont recognize them as a credit builder. You will have an account added to your list of credit companies on your credit report but it will never ever say anything but 0. Basically, if you want to keep track of all of your rental payments, it does do that for you. It also reports it to the credit bureaus however, it is not recognized after three years I finally canceled because nothing was ever reported to help build my credit. They are very rude when you ask them about this and cancel your account and they will not refund any of your money, its a big joke. This company should be shut down. Im not sure why they are still active. They will take your money but you will never be able to build your credit with this company. do not be fooled by their false advertising.

This company is terrible. I closed my account a least a year ago. I am getting emails advising to start a self account (again) saying "get your self account started", that was at 8:31 this morning. I have received other emails about opening up an account as well such as finish setting up your account. I am looking at my email searching for other self financial emails and these b******* never closed my account in its entirety like I asked. I called Self Financial around April 10 2024 I received an email from Self Financial advising of a bill I owe of $126.81 that is due in 7 days. Prior to this communication I had not heard anything from this company since 2023 when the account was closed. I called Self Financial to see what the h*** is going on. The *** advised that I closed the account but the ********************** credit builder account was still open WHAT, is this not what the h*** the whole company is about? Currently they have me owing monthly payments from October 2023 to current August 2024. Back in April when I advised this was a closed account he advised he cannot close it with a balance, which at that time was the $126.81. These people are scammers on a corporate level I do not recommend using them. If this company ever gets in a litigation regarding their foul practices, please reach out to me. This people are ruining credit instead of doing as they advised. One star given because I had to give something per BBB policy but you'll ****, 0 is what it should be honestly. -**

I tried getting my credit back up to par with Self Financial ********************* is useless, the department that reviews the credit builder account useless, and both customer service and this business is questionable. I paid off my credit builder early like July 20th, and I never received my payout. They also closed my account for the credit card real quick without me being able to pay off that remaining balance. I been calling because I had paid the rest of my balance and they never gave me my payout at all. Not even the estimate amount or the promised amount that is in the contract. Also they keep saying its in review. It has been over ***** business days as promised. **************** said it takes over three weeks. Its over three weeks I been waiting for a month just about this review. Since I been seeing this as a way to remind people on not to do business with a company that has no services and those services been not been rendered for me. Plus it doesnt do anything to the credit score that shows fraudulent activity and it falsify the contract on what their services are about. They Scamming people out of their money.

THIS IS A HORRIBLE SCAM. SCORE WENT 707 TO 674 IN JUST A MONTH. DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIGGEST MISTAKE I HAVE MADE. THIS ISNT CREDIT BUILDER ITS CREDIT KILLER. THEY ARE TAKING OUR MONEY. TO BUILD OUR CREDIT. FRAUD.... THEY REALLY NEED TO FIX MY CREDIT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. ALSO PAY BACK THE MONEY I HAVE PAID. THIS PLACE OR PEOPLE NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN. I FEEL SORRY FOR THERE NEXT VICTIM. I ASKED FOR MY MONEY BACK. THEY HAD THE ***** TO TELL ME THERE IS A SERVICE CHARGE AND INTEREST THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM DESTROYING MY CREDIT. WTF? I TOLD THEM THEY NEED TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. THEY ARE NOT GETTING A ***** OF MINE. THEY DESTROYED MY CREDIT. THIS ISNT CREDIT BUILDING. IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND THINKING ABOUT DOIBG THE CREDIT BUILDER. DONT DO IT. CHIME HAS THE BEST CREDIT BUILDER.

Started self at a 720 credit score, shortly after and with no other credit influences my score dropped by 120 points, been trying to fix this for 3 year and they keep charging me interest and fees knowing that my balance was 0 and my card isnt even active. I am afraid if I cancel my account my credit score will drop even more that is the only reason I didnt cancel yet. If anyone can help please let me know. I am also ready to file a lawsuit against that fraudulent company.

I have a credit builder account with them and the loan was worth $364 I believe and I paid it off! The estimated payout was to received in ***** business days.. Its been about a month and they are stating that the payout is under review and does not have a time frame for when they will release the payout!!! FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!!

Horrible company. I was with them for five years and never had a problem. Then someone stole my info and there was a fraudulent charge for ***************************************************** and I agreed within less than an hour. They said oh we will refund you. After two weeks and three fourths of the refunds they contacted me and he charged me all the 1100 dollars. I have asked them so many times to to help and they refuse. I just don't understand how a company can have a fraud department contacted me and then after I agree it's fraud say it's not. Horrible customer service. Horrible company. They take advantage of people in need of credit help and s**** them over in the end. Never use them.

These people are reporting to me every month when I told them and my lawyer they sent him papers that account is bankrupt now they are going to look for a problem for violating a federal order. they are horrible

I had closed the account in April and they still charged me 4 months after I close the account. Prior to that they said I did not make a payment in 80 Days 3 months before I close the account and I have on record that I've made a payment every month up until me closing the account. I even made a payment the day of the account being closed just before I closed it. And they said I owed them $61.94 I paid it and they still reported to the credit bureau that I was **************************************************************** this is not a professional company whatsoever and have a poor quality of doing business.
