This morning I had a phone conversation with Mr *************** the Exec VP of the LCRA Credit Union in ****** ** concerning the threatening letter I received from him on Saturday pertaining to my MasterCard account. His letter (which I can send you) threatened me with Legal action even though I have notified the Credit Union of my debt consolidation and that they would eventually get re-paid by Clear One Alliance my debt consolidation company. In the phone conversation this morning *********** repeatedly threatened me with legal jargon and interrupting my conversation throughout. I sent the Credit Union a copy of my hardship letter that they shouldve received last fall. The actions taken by the Credit Union and by *********** violate the Federal Trade Practice Law and I am submitting this complaint as such. I have copies of all I have referenced in my complaint if you need to see them for verification purposes.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The LCRA Credit Union failed to abide by the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of 2021 because I notified them in October of 2021 of my going through Debt Consolidation with ******************* company and thus am PROTECTED like as if I filed for Bankruptcy, therefore, their letter that I received on March 12, threatening me to pay them $1,000 immediately and subsequent payments violates that law!!! In addition, the phone conversation on March 14 with ************ of the LCRA Credit Union was threatening in nature, arrogant, obnoxious and rude, interrupting me several times while I tried to talk to ************ and he called me a "liar" throughout! I have never, in my 69 years of life, have ever been treated this way before and had to hang up on him. Subsequent phone conversations went the same way. The LCRA Credit Union needs to send me a written apology as well as disregard their demands for payment as we go through Debt Consolidation with *******************. ******************* has spoken to ************ and he is/was the FIRST EVER Creditor to turn down attempts by Clear One to send them a fax and/or text/and/or email of proof of me having signed ***** of ******** privileges to Clear One to speak on my behalf and thus had to MAIL through the *********** this proof at least 3 times as he kept saying he never ever received the documentation in the mail!!! ************ is obviously corrupt and so is the Credit Union, which, by the way, us under investigation by the ************** Credit Union Department, which is a very serious matter that could lead to fines and other penalties against them.
Regards,
