    In March 2023, BBB began a pattern of complaints evaluation for Eastman Meyler PC. BBB has received 40 consumer complaints and 5 customer reviews of a concerning nature in the last 12 months. Most consumers reaching BBB engaged in services with WipeRecord, a division of Eastman Meyler, PC. According to BBB files Eastman Meyler, PC has a pattern of complaints concerning customer service issues and failing to complete service.  

    - Consumers allege that Eastman Meyler, PC accepts payments for legal  services, with some experiencing incomplete. In at least one case, a  consumer alleges the firm missed several scheduled court hearing dates and was unresponsive to requests for updates on their case.  

    - Consumers further allege that after paying for legal services, they experience limited to no communication from their paralegals or attorneys, even after leaving numerous voicemails, texts, and emails requesting updates. Some consumers allege that the firm has been unresponsive to all phone calls, texts, and written communication. Consumers who request a refund allege that their requests go unanswered, or refunds are not received once agreed upon with the firm. 

    - As of April 2023, the company has 4 unanswered consumer complaints and 3 unresolved complaints. 

    Eastman Meyler PC. has been responsive to phone calls from BBB as recently as,  April 18, 2023 and we are awaiting the company’s formal response to the concerns referenced above. BBB will provide more information as it becomes available.

      In 2019, I reached out to Wiperecord concerning an advertisement they had posted, which indicated they could assist with my case. During the intake process, I was assured they could help me, and the cost would be $2,000. However, I only recently discovered that they never delivered on their promise. When I attempted to contact them and read reviews, I found out it was all a scam and that they were not operating as they had appeared. I hadn't been pushing the issue earlier due to the onset of COVID-19, which delayed court proceedings.

      We contacted wiperecords for an initial consultation, I was approved and was set on a payment plan, also gave a down payment via Zelle. Also sign documents via docusign.

      Eastman Meyler, PC dba WipeRecord has performed blatant fraud against numerous individuals seeking assistance to have their records sealed. They will tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign up, then avoid their clients at all costs. I initiated contact with them in February 2023 and by May of 2023, ceased all contact with me, even after numerous emails and phone calls requesting status updates. They continued to deduct money out of my bank account which I did not authorize. I tried to reach out again to state I either want an update on my case, or a refund. I found all forms of contact severed and emails to them denied and returned as undeliverable. I fully believe this company was set up to defraud people of money and the ultimate point was to embezzle money into the pockets of those involved then give an alibi of death as a cover to close the business and steal the money consequence free. There needs to be an *** investigation started on this company and all involved. And I want my money back.

      On May 22, 2023 I signed a contract with Wipe Record, Eastman Meyler, PC. for services of a misdemeanor expulsion. I payed the law service three legal technologies fees on May 23, 2023 $650.00, June 30, 2023 $500.00, July 31, 2023 $500.00 I found this law service online and I talked with a representative. The representative said the total for fees and services would be $1650.00, I've called, emailed, and texted and I get zero response. I still have not received any response and I still have my misdemeanor on my record. I would like a refund on my money.

      I paid to have my record expunged set up payment plan which money was being taking out my account monthly. I kept getting no response back when tried to make contact. It would be a few days with a text response saying they still working on the case but still have yet to hear back. This has been a hindrance to getting certain jobs.
