Peak Dental, ****** ***** I am writing to you regarding the insurance operations at Peak Dental; re; *****************************************I sought dental care that accepted my insurance. upon moving to ****** last year. I found Peak Dental on the internet where my insurance was listed as an accepted plan. I called the dentist and shared my plan information with the representative so she may validate her specific plan as covered and the dentist was in network. They said he was, so I made an initial appointment to establish a treatment plan and started seeing him. My treatment plan was extensive as I had extensive work that needed to be done. I went to 3 appointments in which all of the cost should have been covered and they were not. I called my insurance ********** UHC AARP ********* Advantage Plan with Dental) and they told me he was not in network, so I went back to the dentist and told them. They said the insurance company was wrong and we would have to figure out why he was not in network, but that the bills remained unpaid but owed. I called ******** and they again said he was not in network but that the dentist could call and get figured out whatever issue was going if he truly was an in-network dentist. ******** told me to file a claim appeal, in which is yet to be resolved and they told me to submit a dentist nomination form for the dentist in which I did. I went back to the dentist and shared with them what I did and again reiterated their office needed to call ******** to see why they are not seeing ***************. **************** is my daughter's dentist, and she went to get her teeth cleaned and asked **************** if the front desk notified him that he was not recognized as in network and that I had submitted a nomination form for him. He was not told anything and insisted he was in network. Since then, I have called the dentist office more than 10 times and keep getting transferred to a line where no one picks up. I have not received any notifications of whether or not my bills have been sent to collections or if my claim appeal went through and its settled. They will not call me back and I feel because of my age, I am being taken advantage of. I want answers as to why they are misleading people about their insurance coverage. This is an issue I should not have to keep trying to reach someone to talk to me. Dates of Service: 9/26/2023 9/7/2023 8/17/2023 x 2
