      Hi *******,

We want to make sure job seekers are having a safe experience with Indeed. For this reason, your contact information is only shared with employers when you apply for their position or you accept their contact through our database. We do not have a team that reaches out to job seekers offering positions via phone call, text or WhatsApp, or any other communication platform.

If you received communication outside of Indeed offering you a job, that communication is not from Indeed. We recommend that you block them and report them to your phone provider. If you have suffered a direct loss, you should contact your local authorities for further action.

To maintain trust with our job seekers and employers alike we invest significant resources to protect your personal data, and are always guided by our privacy values. You can find more information on our privacy practices here, ************************.

I was recently laid off and created an indeed account. After a week or so after creating my account, I noticed a message stating that my account is not visible to the public due to me violating guidelines. I filed the appeal like they suggested and provided Identification.I then received the following email:"Thank you for taking the time to go through our appeal process. We review all accounts to ensure our employers and job seekers have the best experience. We have reviewed your account, and we will not be lifting your suspension. Your profile will remain Not Searchable on Indeed, and employers will no longer be able to find it in search results. This also means that you are unable to apply to jobs or message employers using your Indeed account at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Further appeals for this suspension will not be considered or responded to"It would have been nice to have a reason as to what the actual issue is. You guys just pretty much told me "yeah, we looked something, not gonna tell you what's wrong and oh yeah if you send another appeal it will just go into the void that no one will respond to it"All i did was setup my account upload a resume. not sure what the actual issue is. This is lowering my chances to get eyeballs on my profile or to even apply via indeed for a job. Can someone please provide an explanation and may fix the email to include details and actually help us resolve the actual issue? I have seen many reddit posts about this situation and I think it needs to be looked into or at least have a better appeals process

Thank you for taking the time to go through our appeal process. We review all accounts to ensure our employers and job seekers have the best experience.

I am a job seeker who prefers email contact. I only gave a number when they tricked me into thinking it was part of an application process. They took that info and put it on my public profile without permission. I deleted it after figuring that out and they kept putting it back every 3-4 months without my permission. after the 2nd time It finally stayed off but then about 4 months later I started getting calls and texts from companies for jobs that were not in line with my desired job setting or location (usually out of state). I figured out they hid it in a new category of the setting about data collection I again unsubscribed but was fed up. Now I am trying to delete my account and I cant. They hid the delete account link and when I search or help they have no links to get support immediately I can only email. Funny how they listen to my preferred contact method only when it suits them. Do not put your info on this site they will sell, steal and manipulate you into giving more info so they can profit off you while offering no real value.

If I could leave no star complaint that's what I would leave I have been sent an hour and a half to a business for an interview when there was nobody to do an interview I have been sent to businesses for open interviews when there was nobody even in the office I don't know what why this company is still in business but they should be pulled off the internet because they are worthless they have cost me money they have cost me time at my job for no reason

Hi *****, please keep in mind that Indeed is not a job center or a job agency. We do not have control over employer behavior and that includes whether they show up for interviews or not. To clarify as well, only employers can send jobseekers interview invitations/requests. In this case, we recommend searching online for the company's contact information for you to reach out to the directly with your concerns. Best, Indeed Support.

Not sure if this is a scam but I received two different envelopes today in the mail saying it was from indeed for employers ***************************'s *****. Both were in somebody else's name and stated the person's name or hiring manager for USCG... To my personal home address saying you should claim your $75 credit when you pay to post to start hiring faster today visit go. indeed.com/credit824 This is possibly a scam but trying to find someplace to report it where you don't have to have an account with ********************** or you get a phone number that basically says hey talk to a computer no real person here.If this is a scam you need to know about it cuz I don't appreciate getting two pieces of mail basically that says the same thing connect with your next hire faster than ever and then you say dear the person's name and dear the other person's name who do not live at my house I don't know who these people are who the heck is using my home to state their hiring manages for the United States Coast guard do not appreciate it stop... I do not want any mail from indeed for employers to my home address cease now... And if it's a scam look into it but get people an easier way to get a hold of you.... very frustrated and if it wasn't a scam stop sending....don't violate my home with your mail again ever.

The ONLY reason Indeed has one star is because you cannot give it a zero or negative. Their billing system is a complete scam and I cannot believe someone does not file a class-action lawsuit against them and/or the Better Business Bureau doesn't do something.I put an add up requesting a spend of $39.00 per day. In one day I was charged $146.00 based on "clicks." Clicks - really? How can I prove that is true? And if I put a spend of $39.00 per day, why would they charge $146 in less than 24 hours. We had three other ads up as well with similar daily spend amounts and reached our "spend threshold" of $500 in less than 24 hours. After that, our ads were no longer visible. $500 for one day of postings? Actually, I had a spend threshold of $500 but they charged me $501.87. I guess cheating us out of $500 wasn't enough - they had to steal another unauthorized $1.87. Again, someone needs to bring a class-action lawsuit against this crooked, scam-laden company because their pricing practices are completely bogus and underhanded and completely lack transparency with their "click" pricing system.

      Hi ****,

To clarify, daily budgets are based on averages. For example, when your jobs are shown more often, your cost on any one particular day might be more than the average daily budget selected. Your daily budget is the average you will spend per day over the course of a month, if you run your job for an entire calendar month.

Please note that Indeed is a self-service product and a budget is chosen when the job is posted by the account holder. In addition, you can pause or close a job posting at any time. It is the responsibility of the account holder to keep track of any sponsored jobs.

Having said that, we would like to take a closer look at what happened here. When you have a moment, please email us at ************************************* with some additional details so we can further assist. Thank you.

      Best regards,

      The Indeed Team

User Beware!********************** used to do things legitimately which means that when an employer thinks a candidate interested might be appropriate and you respond to them then you are charged. They now changed to a pay per click system which means that anyone clicking on your job posting gets you a charge. Supposedly $36.50 a day is the average you can expect to be charged. I was charged $150 in one day and the people that responded were two hours or more away, not qualified at all like *** oil rig worker for a remodeling post, and two were felons for burglary. Its a total rip-off!! The control and charges incurred should be in the hands of the employer!!What you end up with is a ridiculous miss match of useless applicants and a large bill with no services rendered. When I called customer service, he basically told me, well, you were dumb enough to sponsor your post, so what do you want me to do?Its a huge money grab for Indeed, thats why they changed how they do things and believe me, you wont fill your employee needs and youll get a shock at your charges. A shame, because they used to be a help to me.User Beware!!!

      Hi **** & The BBB,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. After further review of your account and the charges, we would be happy to explain. Previously, we offered a Pay Per Applicant price model which would allow you a ********************************************************************************************************************* January 2024, we full removed this pricing model from our site due to customer feedback and defaulted back to our standard pricing model, Pay Per Click. With this pricing model, you set a daily average budget and are charged per click, or view, to your posting. Daily budgets work as an average and may overspend on days when the advertisement is preforming well. However, it will underspend on other days. In this case, we recommend using our monthly budget option which works on our pay per started application. Instead of being billed when a job seeker clicks on your advertisement in the search results, you are only billed when a job seeker begins their application.

      We hope this helps!

We were notified of a $150 charge to our bank account that we did not authorize. I attempted to contact Indeed support, but could not find any contact information, anywhere online or on their website. As a result, I contacted the bank. The bank representative attempted to locate contact information on our behalf, but they too were unable to find any information. They said we would need to file a fraud report, but our card would be cancelled if we did this. Not wanting the card cancelled, I spent at least an hour checking online for any contact information and finally, after numerous re-routings, was able to speak with someone that I found very difficult to understand. I then asked to speak with someone that spoke better English. After a great deal of time, I was told the funds would be reimbursed to our account. What a nightmare experience!

I attempted to sign up as an employer and entered some of the fields information incorrectly, I was sent an email that my account was under review and would I send in the business license - which I did and a few hours later an email came saying Indeed has denied my account and job posting and no reason was given. I called and spoke to **** who went with me step by step to set up my account and post my job correctly. My account was then confirmed via email and I thought everything was good. Then, I arrived at work today and there was another email saying this account was paused and under review again, so I filled out the review form, added my business incorporation certificate and then called to speak with ****** who looked into my account and could not find anything wrong with my account including the Incorporation Certificate I had just sent in. He said, my account should be active soon. Within the hour, I have another email denying my account and postings for no reason. I called a third time and spoke with ******** who said there was nothing that looked incorrect with my account and my posting, but also nothing I can do to be accepted and there is no reason. I have filed everything correctly on the phone LIVE with their agents and provided the information from the list they give that is acceptable and still they will not allow my account and job posting - I just want to know why we were denied?

      Hello *****,

To explain, it is normal that all accounts will be reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status that you're likely now experiencing.

We'd be happy to take a closer look at your account. In order to best assist, please email us directly at *************************************.
