My fiancee and I went to fix our breaks and assignment. Midas said it was the breaks and axle, and that it could break while they were fixing it. We asked for a quote but they said theyd tell us later. They later came out and said it broke while they were fixing it, but they'd fix it. We asked for a quote, but they just shrugged it off multiple times.Midas then told us they had financing options. We asked how much it would cost and they told us it was about $2000. We asked for details on the work, and they said they couldnt tell until they finished. They told us financing was in-house, no interest, over 24 months. I applied for financing and it didnt go through. They sent a second link, and that was approved. Midas fixed the car.We asked for an invoice and they said they couldn't give us the full price, of the work done. We left figuring we could use are credit card, but $2000 interest fee over 4 months was better.A few weeks later we got an email for $3,222, at 119% interest rate, interest free for only 90 days. We called Midas to complain, once again asking for a quote but was rudely dismissed. We got another email from another bank for $3746.61, at 119% interest rate, interest free for only 90 days. This means we would pay $10,373.04 for the 2nd loan. Apparently, the loan that was not approved was approved and used to charge us. We opened a complaint and 2 months later got a quote from an investigator who promised to check the audio/video feed. Then he stopped responding to us. We called the investigator and surprise, the actual person who deceived us picked up. He rudely dismissed us again. The investigator was a scam too.If we had been told the amount, or the interest rate, or that it could have been only for a limited period of time, we would have had the opportunity to decide if we wanted to fix it, if we wanted to fix it at Midas, if we wanted to get a 2nd opinion, or if we wanted to pay immediately with a credit card.Car still shakes today.
