I should have read the reviews first because the exact thing has just happened with me. I was supposed to have a series of 5 gel injections. The first 2 were fine and my knee was feeling much better, very low pain. The 3rd injection it felt like the needle hit something it wasn't supposed to - VERY painful but ok after I left. I just went in for the 4th injection day before yesterday and the same pain x100 with the injection. I asked the dr why the last two hurt so much and he actually said, "I must be losing my touch." There was a very painful lump at the injection site. I went back yesterday so they could look at it. I had to wait an hour for the PA to get to me. Of course, they didn't want to admit they'd done anything wrong. She said the pain, lump, etc was normal. The pain was excruciating with the injection and is still painful. I'm so disappointed - my knee was feeling so much better, almost no pain and I could walk normally until the last injection. Now I can barely walk again. It's getting better but I just don't think it's supposed to be this painful. They were very patronizing and did not seem to care or understand the pain I was experiencing.

I had injections in bilateral knees. I kept telling the docs that something else was wrong in thr back of my knee. Know it's just pressure from the injections. Can barley walk and buckling and they finally listen and order an MRIafter 4 weeks of treatment. And something else is wrong and, I need additional treatment. Come to the office and I am told I have a balance and will not be treated unless I pay it. I ask for a copy of bill and it shows didn't pay a copy last time which I did. Front agrues and the gentleman who took it says I paid it. I ask to go over a detailed receipt since there is a mistake and I would go over it and call the next day. Once again threatened you don't pay you don't recieve treatment. They dont care that I can barley walk. Know they have me over a barrel, pay or stay in pain. Mind you I have paid over a thousand up front. Never gotten a bill or a call. Asking for a day since there was a a mistake that I could already see. Then keep my copay becasue they went over results of MRI but wouldn't drain the 3 inch cyst in the back of my knee unless I pay ****** on thr spot with a mistake I ****** see. Tell the doc and she says they are doing there job. I said it needs to be done In A different way. I have recieved no bill or call about additional al monies. And she said they have no time to call. RUN RUN RUN from this place.

This is the biggest SCAM that I have seen in several years. They do not give you any information until they have you in their office. Even then they put you thru the ringer with interviews, tests and x-rays before giving you the information about insurance coverage that they could have very easily given you on the phone or at the very least when you get to their office before wasting your time and then hoping that you will accept their treatment hook, line and sinker. Stay away. Stay FAR, FAR AWAY.

IF YOU HAVE KNEE PAIN< STAY AWAY FROM ARTHRITIS CENTER OF AUSTIN!!!! They are the worst organized medical facility I have ever experienced. They misrepresent that my national insurance company will not cover my knee injections when I know for a fact that my insurance company has covered this treatment for similar senior friends in *****. I have an approval letter for this treatment from my insurance company. Yet, somehow, Arthritis Centers of Austin claim they can't get paid. Then there is really something wrong with Arthritis Centers of Austin, not the insurance company, not ******** or anything else that they want to blame it on. They also claimed to have left a voice mail prior to my most recent failed appointment and there is no message on my phone.STAY AWAY FROM ARTHRITIS CENTERS OF AUSTIN!!

I DONT KNOW, the first series of injections were fine. I got results, but the second series, 6mos to a year later, omgoodness the pain I got after the first two injections were excruciating. The third shot in the first knee brought me down, I could barely walk. I was in pain for a day or so. I actually could not walk and when I called they were so nonchalant about it so when the pain subsided, I was left with the decision of if I was going to get another injection in the other knee. I first I decided not to and then I started thinking about the balance, well I got it in the one knee I should go on and do the other one. It probably won't have the same effect as the last one and then I thought of all the previous shots that were ok too and that the last one was just I DONT KNOW a weird mishap something. So I got the other shot and low and behold, the same excruciating pain and again I'm calling and crying because it was so painful and all ************* could suggest is that I should come in for a steroid shot and I'm like is anyone hearing me, I CAN'T WALK! How can I come in and why would I get a steroid shot! So after that I just washed my hands of Arthritis Relief Centers. It was the weirdest thing though because I liked everything about the center before that happened. I haven't and won't be going back after that little episode though. I don't know what they did or why, but definitely something was different in those last two shots. It took me sometime to write this review because I initially didn't want to because I didn't want to be negative, I really liked the place but the more I thought about how I was treated I said yes I should and I went back in forth with it and then as time went by I thought I wasted too much time in between so forget about it. But it was just gnawing at me so I decided to write a review and now I feel so much better and I can move on.
