Quoted $160/hr with $115 moving fee. On 6/18/2023 after the move, I paid 795 after the move basically by force. Complaints: 1. Not being careful with items - overall, we had 2 pieces of nice furniture chip, one mirror broken, and a leg of the couch came off during our move.2. Not placing items correctly - there were some boxes placed on the wrong floor. Every box was either labeled with which room or upstairs or downstairs. Had to do a lot of work myself after the fact. 3. Late to the move - Supposed to arrive ****pm. Arrived at 5pm; made our move end at 10pm.4. Lack of communication - I didn't receive an email the day before to provide details or to confirm the move. At 12pm, I wasn't even sure if the move was going to happen. I called the number on the website multiple times but got a response that the mailbox is not set up, nor could I leave a message to reach a person and confirm.5. Time taken to move - 3 pieces of furniture were wrapped but then were unwrapped to remove drawers.I asked if I had to remove items from desks, dressers, etc. and I was told I only needed to remove loose items from desks and that clothes were fine.Every item was tallied in the quote and every box I had was ready to go. I moved with almost the same amount of items with 2-3 *********** took 2 hours so that was my expectation on the time estimate and it wasn't met.After the move, I talked to the alleged owner, ******, about the dissatisfaction of the service, he yelled at me in my own home and basically forced me to pay without being genuine in listening. I did research on Yelp about which company to choose & there were many 4.9-star reviews which referenced 3 individuals we did not engage with.Did research and looks like this company dissolved as an LLC in May 2023, which doesn't make a lot of sense as we received horrible services from the alleged same company in June 2023.Sounds like they're operating under this company using their reviews to their benefit.Owner on yelp says Jackson.Business response

I used a moving company on 6/3/23 that I had reliable history with. In total I spend $720 (including a 20% tip) for the services. The company quotes hourly and based on truck plus 3 movers. When movers took twice the time as our previous encounter and only had 2 movers I inquired for more info. I was told the owner should have contacted, which he hadnt and told my rate would change, by $20/hr only. From $160 to $140 an hour. I was also told theyd arrive between 8-8:30 am and wasnt greeted until 9:25. After clearing my place, I was told Id be met at my new address after they returned to their storage unit for more water. Unloading at the new place was a disaster. When asked, my only request was that 2 items be placed in a specific place due to inability to move them in a carpeted room. This was not done and my room was stacked all the way to the door with boxes and 2 dressers in the middle of the room. They took hours to move the same items that took them 45 mins to load from my previous move. I spent way more than what I could have even over budgeted for. After contacting the owner, my concerns were validated and I was told it would be addressed and I would receive a 50% refund. Since then I have yet to hear back, despite multiple attempts to follow up. After my first email was responded to so promptly, I cant help but be made to feel as if I was pacified with answers I wanted to hear, with the intention of no follow through. I feel taken advantage of and used. This especially rings true because I was asked last minute to move my date (if possible) so they could accommodate another client. I wasnt able to do so as I had already taken time off of work for the move. Its my opinion that they overbooked the day to make the most on their end, while I was compromised on my end. Other issues, including missing items I was told would be returned have also not been addressed. To say Im upset is an understatement. I trusted them.
