Terrible bait and switch marketing, I was told it'd be $60 per quarter which I agreed to. My first service was on 6/7/2024. The my credit card was "attempted" to be billed on 7/7/2024. When I called to ask the rep why were they trying to charge my card again after only 1 month? Then told me billed every month but I only receive services "quarterly". When I called to cancel they told me it'd be $290 to cancel...That's garbage. I had to cancel my debit card and order a new one.Review from Katie T

My review is for the *********, ** location. We had a solicitor at 7:30pm last night. I informed him were on a no-knock list. He didn't care and continued to try to sell me pest control. I repeatedly said we were not interested, but he would not leave. I finally had to shut the door in his face. He just stood in the doorway creepily waving at me. I called my neighbor to warn her. She said he had been to their house twice, and she had the same experience. I walked outside to see where he went, and he yelled at me "do you like what you see. Do you want some of this?" They need to get a handle on their marketing campaign. I will never do business with a company that knocks on my door at night. Especially one that employees aggressive and inappropriate employees.Review from Andrew K

Worst marketing ever. I got Alta rep on my porch and after I told him 8 times that I'm not interested and do not want to continue he kept pushing trying to sell me the service. Extremely rude. I ended up shutting the door while he was still talking.Review from Mark H

I do not remember signing a 12 month plan. They have been charging me $60 a month for the past 5 months and only came out the initial one time. I never received an email, paper letter, text or phone call that I have this. To cancel before the 12 months, they charged me $350 and I did not received any confirmation. We were tricked into buying expensive rodent removal package plus attic top off. The sales person (*****) came by yesterday for the complimentary attic check. He said he found a mouse drop, which I suspect it has been planted, in the attic and our insulation thickness is below the regulation. We signed a contract for $5200 to do the attic top off, rodent removal, and termite prevention. I am ok with attic top off and termite prevention since these should be done, but don't lie that our house has mice. The technician that came today found no sign of mice in either attic or basement storage. We have been using their service for years and their technicians are generally good. Scamming customers for something that didn't happen will definitely drive them away. We will likely look for a new pest control providers if a good deal comes by.Review from Alex T

Hey we had a significant problem with ants and we had tried few other companies before Alta but none of them could really help that issue. Upon joining Alta though *** had nothing but a wonderful experience and within three months they had solved all the issues I had with sugar ants and the spiders.Review from Ommar B

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the pest control services provided by your company. Despite multiple treatments at my home, located in ***************, the infestation problem not only persisted but seemed to worsen after each visit.When I first engaged your services, I was assured of a thorough and effective pest control solution. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. After each scheduled treatment, I observed an increase in the number of insects within my home. This ongoing issue has caused significant inconvenience and distress to my household.Moreover, despite these repeated failures to address the pest problem, I have now been contacted by a collections agency demanding payment for these inadequate services. I find this situation wholly unacceptable. I firmly believe that I should not be held financially responsible for services that were clearly ineffective and did not deliver the promised results.To resolve this matter, I request the following actions be taken immediately:Cease Collection Actions: I request that all collection activities be halted until this dispute is resolved.Service Review and Improvement: I suggest a thorough review of your service protocols to ensure other customers do not experience the same dissatisfaction.Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide a response within the next 14 days. Today I was visited by a person representing Alta Pest Control, dressed in his uniform clearly marked Alta and riding our subdivision on a hoverboard. This was his second visit in 10 days. I asked him to show me his credentials and he told me sorry, I dont have my I.D. on me. I pointed to a sign prominent on my front column no soliciting and he said sorry. Id shown it to him when he appeared last week. Prominent on his right sleeve is the Blue BBB patch. Upon checking, the Alta business (**************, ** servicing ***************) is not an accredited BBB member.Review from Frederick G

We had a major ant problem inside our home and the people at **** took care of it in a timely manner. They showed up within the same day and treated and sprayed the entirety of the inside where the problem areas were. We were constantly getting ants popping out eating our food in the pantry but now theyre completely gone. These guys know what theyre doing!
