Had septic backup flooded one bathroom (broke toliet seal) and flooded another bathroom via shower. Called Reliant 7pm on Sat. From there, did major (unnecessary) work improperly requiring remediation, rework or cleanup. This work included:+ Initial estimate to pull two toliets, hydrojet line to fully clear any blockage and reset/reseal those toliets (this given they could not initially locate the cleanout). After 3.5 days, blockages still in place.+ Day 1: Team located the main cleanout in first hour; should've immediately adjusted work plan. Then only pulled one toliet (frontline plumber was honest and said wax seal intact on second toliet so 'he could save it'). Unable to clear the blockage(s) and instead found the septic reservoir fully charged. At end of day, Journeyman sales guy said he couldn't adjust off the second toliet and that a new grinder pump would be necessary at extreme rates. I stupidly sign.+ Day 2: They decide to pump 500 gallon reservoir themselves, charging me insane labor rates to do so. They install new grinder pump and pump the hardened sludge right back into it (no sense), then announce they are unable to clear blockages still as they *accidentally* pump a LOT of raw sewage onto my deck and into my backyard. Then they insist $4k to install a second cleanout, which I question and do not sign for. They do not sterilize or contain the spillage. They leave a hydrojetter stuck in master bathroom and tell us "turn on all the fans and close the doors" to my master bedroom where my 4-wk old sleeps "to prevent sewer gas poisoning."+ Day 3: I catch them not sealing my toilet to the floor, which they next break. They install an unnecessary 2nd cleanout. They continue to dodge providing written estimates / invoices to us.+ Day 4: We ask them to leave after they install replacement toliet.They still have not provided names and licensure numbers of those who did the work, a state requirement. Contacted reliant plumbing to repair the hose bibs behind the washer and dryer as the valve broke off when trying to shut it off they came out on March 7, 2024 charged us $94 and gave an estimate of $2200 for the repair, after paying a $195 annual fee for membership way overpriced. Contacted ************ Plumbing they did the whole job for $500. Will never call reliant plumbing again and recommend contacting other plumbers if you want an honest and fair repair.Review from Jessica M

As I received a notice from the city that I had a leak for 4 days, I reached out to wht I thought was a reputable plumbing company. Upon arriving to my house, I gave all information I had about the leak that we could not find anywhere as home owners. I was then given a quote of $495 to assess for the leak. I was then given the information that the gaskets on all the toilets were about to pop and needed a complete toilet rebuild. Also the *** was High and needed a new PRV valve. He came back with a quote of $1800 for the **** if we rebuilt all toilet it would be $400/toilet. If we did only one it would be $600. When I asked what was needed to fix the leak he stated rebuild on one specific toilet. When I then asked if he check to see if the water meter had stopped when turning off the valve on this toilet he said he was going to. I then got my shoes on and followed him to the meter. which was still showing water moving/being used. He then asked if I checked the irrigation system and I told him we had but then asked did you not check it? SO after trying to get me to pay over $3000 inside the house he still had not found the leak. At this point I have zero confidence, I have had a company come check for a leak previously and they did a thorough job many years ago and walked the entire yard. This guy did not. I refused to sign the paperwork at the end and called to speak to a manager. The manager then called the employee right away. After 4 additional calls, I have to schedule a call with a mananger.... I have yet to speak to a manager. They might call tomorrow but as of right now, I have zero faith that a call will be made. Feels like not reputable company/lacks integrity.Review from Danny D.

They charged me $805 to clean a drain under the kitchen sink between the disposal and drain less than 4 feet of pipe took less than 30 minutes!! I understand the service call but really $805 is a rip off!! *************************

As a homeowner who recently had a distressing encounter with Reliant Plumbing engaged in price gouging, I feel compelled to share my experience to raise awareness and caution other consumers about this unethical practice.When my toilet suddenly sprung a leak, I sought the assistance of a reputable plumbing company to resolve the issue promptly. However, what was meant to be a routine repair turned into an upsetting and costly ordeal due to the company's blatant price gouging tactics.Upon contacting the plumbing company, I was initially reassured by their courteous and professional demeanor. However, as soon as the plumber arrived and assessed the problem, I noticed a significant shift in their attitude. Without providing any reasonable explanation, the plumber presented an exorbitant estimate that far exceeded industry standards for such a straightforward repair.Feeling cornered and in need of immediate assistance, I reluctantly agreed to the exorbitant price. However, my doubts only grew when I later reached out to other reputable plumbing companies and discovered that the price I had paid was nearly double or tripled the market rate for similar services. It was a disheartening revelation, and I felt taken advantage of during a moment of vulnerability.In conclusion, my experience with a plumbing company's price gouging left me deeply disheartened and wary of engaging with service providers in the ********** is imperative for consumers to be aware of this unethical practice and to demand greater accountability from service providers. Likewise, it falls upon the authorities to take decisive action against those who betray the trust of their customers through unjustifiable price gouging. There is a reason why this company is not with the BBB. Had a plugged commode and requested their services to unplug. Tech showed up, used a 6' closet auger and "smashed" that clog out. The force used ended up unseating the commode and now seeps onto the tile with a flush. The tech asked if I wanted an estimate to reseat. I said no (the cost of the less than 60 seconds application using a $48 tool available at a local store was A LOT!)Had a talk with the manage, who had all the excuses ready. When asked if he was going to take any responsibility for the new issue, he simply replied "no".I'm retired. A senior. But I used to do my fair share of renovations both on a personal and professional level. I would have NEVER walked away leaving things in a worse condition than I started. My toilet was suddenly not flushing well this week. After clearing a few separate clogs with a plunger, I decided there must be a blockage and called Reliant to check it out. They scheduled service the very next day and a tech arrived on time. After running a camera through the sink, the tech informed me that I have valleys in the pipes running under my foundation. He explained these valleys cause standing water that disrupt the proper functioning of the plumbing system, and concluded that this was the most likely root cause of my flushing issue. When I asked if he should also check the toilets, he briefly acknowledged that I could have him snake ($500) or pull the toilet ($1,200) before explaining that if I didn't address the valleys quickly, the problem would get worse and end up costing me much more. When I asked if he could run the camera through the toilet instead of the sink to determine if snaking or pulling the toilet was necessary, he said the camera could not negotiate the sharp turns inside the toilet drain. At this point, I decided I was going to either investigate the problem further myself or call another plumber for a second opinion. The tech said that was certainly an option, but insisted he write up a formal estimate before leaving. I agreed, assuming he would quote the snake and toilet removal options. Instead, he provided me an estimate to correct the valleys in the pipes...for $73K!After he left, I pulled the toilet myself and found a pair of my son's eyeglasses lodged in the bottom. I bought a new wax ring from ********** ($10) and re-installed the toilet. It now works perfectly. Altogether, the repair cost me $10 and 2 hours of my time, including the trip to **********.I think it's absurd that the tech would choose to focus entirely on a $73K solution without exhausting all other possibilities first. I would never trust this company to diagnose another plumbing issue and I strongly advise you to do the same.Reliant Plumbing Response

When my water heater stopped working on a Sunday, Reliant sent *************************** out within hours to diagnose the problem. I did need to replace the water heater. He came back the next day and did a great job - especially since my unit was in the attic - not an easy thing. Both he and his apprentice were friendly, courteous, and great about answering all my questions. I felt like I could make an informed decision before we agreed to the work and I am very satisfied with the outcome. Thank you *****. We needed a plumber to replace gas line for outside fire pit. They were here 1 hour and cut into rock fireplace and replaced gas valve. They charged us $2000 for 1 hourworth of work. We felt like our hands were tied and had to pay it as they were already starting work when they gave us a quote. We then had to pay $300 to fix the rock they sawed though. This place rips you off.
