*** responded to maintenance requests fairly quickly however was very unprofessional and rude towards me and my brother throughout our lease, which we abided by completely.We were responsible tenants and maintained the property according to the terms of our lease. We also left the property in immaculate condition at move-out. In return, *** intentionally delayed refunding our deposit due to needing several reminders and calls even after the 30-day move-out period. We finally picked up our deposit nearly two months after informing him where to mail it. He did not want to cooperate with us to return our deposit as he imposed a bunch of fees and provided excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't send a deposit via ACH, even though he was two weeks late in returning our funds. We informed him four days in advance that we would pick up our deposit at his office and still dared to pretend like my brother was a burglar when he arrived.He often attempted to provoke a confrontation by overstepping his function as a property manager; he used agents touring my home in the final month of our lease to spy on us and comment on what occurred in our home - even though it had nothing to do with our lease. "It's too early to judge".... it's always too early to judge a man in his own home ****** We had the responsibility of maintaining the property and paying the rent, so therefore only we have the AUTHORITY in our own home - as long as we obey the law and fulfill our duties outlined in the lease. I highly recommend not doing any business with this person as he intentionally disrespects you and seeks to have authority over his customers. I would not trust this individual to act in good faith regarding a monetary transaction.***, your role as a property manager is to secure tenants and represent the best interests of your clients. Being rude and playing little power games overcomplicates what should be a simple transaction: We both abide by the lease and state law.
