    I was told I was approved for a home and the leasing agent would call me with a lease agreement. after several days of no communication I received an email that the home had been leased to someone else. I then called the customer service line and was told again that I was approved for the home I was told to wait and that the leasing agent was putting together my lease and would contact me soon with the agreement. A week went by with no communication and I now am on a deadline to move out of my current home. I called the customer service number again and was told the leasing agent would reach out to me today. ******* called me back within minutes to inform me they had leased the home to some one else and he does not know why anyone told me I was approved to move in the home because I was only back up approved. I am currently moving me and my 2 small children into a hotel because after I was told I was approved for the home I stopped looking for a home anywhere else because of the lack of communication and terrible customer service I do not recommend this business to any one. The only suggestion I got from ******* the leasing agent was that he has other properties 3 hours in the opposite direction that he could get my family into. Shame on Darwin Homes you should really be embarrassed for what you have put my family through

    Do not live in their homes. They will scam you every chance you get and continue to add fees and not disclose them. They have many illegal business practices that common people will miss or are to poor to fight back. If you pay your rent 100% on time and in full They will still treat you poorly. Never missed a payment for 2 years that I lived in their homes. But I also could never speak to anyone about issues in their homes because their is no direct contact for anyone. This way no one can be to blame.

    ********, currently ending a lease that was carried over from a different company and they are trying to charge 2 months rent even though I gave proper notice to the previous company. Will be escalating this matter further as they do not respond appropriately and just want to steal money from tenants. Please run the other way!!!!

    I chose Darwin because after tons of reviews and searching, they seemed like the least bad ones to go with. However, after signing the lease and moving in, less than 1 week later, I see many roaches big and small, crawling from out the vents and coming from under floorboard openings near walls. Disgusting. I reached out to them immediately to request pest control and they stated it was a tenant responsibility. I told them I JUST moved in and no way could this be my issue. They reluctantly did agree to send pest control out for a one time free treatment. However, a couple weeks from that, the shower drain in the master bathroom and dishwasher started backing up. I called the water company and discovered the septic system under the home had not been cleaned and refreshed in over 15 years! This is something that should be done every 3-5 years mind you. Again, I had to put in a maintenance request and they did approve to fix it. However, the cherry on top came about a month ago when termites, yes termites began crawling from under the wood during their swarming season. I was mortified! I had never seen anything like it before. I took pictures and immediately contacted Darwin for them to come out and resolve the issue. They took 10 days to get back to me. They finally sent someone out to take pictures, but they determined this is a "tenant issue". How can a tenant be liable for unknown underlying property issues when we do not get access to an inspection report or any due diligence during the renting process?? Termites are in the soil/wood already. It seems they were a little willing to resolve some of the initial issues they might not otherwise because I had just signed the lease and they didn't want me backing out. I see they do not fix or help resolve anything that is not an appliance or physical inhabitable structural damage to the home. Not to mention the monthly air filter delivery fee they charge me when I can't even access the filter area. I will not be renewing.

    Do not rent from Darwin!!! Run away!!They NEVER respond!!!! Changed the rules in the middle of the lease!!!Upon move out the home and carpets were professionally cleaned, all holes filled/sanded/painted.they proceeded to charge me $600+ for paint fogging repair. There was nothing to do!! The house looked better when I left than when I moved in! RUN AS **** AS YOU CAN TO A DIFFERENT PROPERTY!!!

    If i clould leave a zero i would. This company is the worse prperty management i have ever dealt with. I was without heat for a full winter and then appliances failed and waited a month to replace them. Now they charged extra for moving put. On tol of that they took over the *** lease and did not honor the agreement of last month rent of ******. If you see they are the managment conpany do not rent. Do not rent. Do not rent.

    I was switched to this company from ****. Since then its been horrible. I made my February and March payments to **** only for them to send the money back and said it belongs to Darwin. So I send the money to Darwin and havent heard anything since. The payment ***** posted online so it shows as if Im 3 months behind. I cant pay my actual rent for April because they havent confirmed that I sent them the money. I have screenshots to prove payment was made. When you call the number it connects you to a call center, not the actual business. Then no one ever reaches back out with a resolution like they say they will. Today is the 3rd and Im still waiting to pay rent. Anything past the 5th carries a late fee but how do you expect a late fee from someone whos been trying to pay rent since the 1st

    I was renting from **** and was informed that Darwin was taking over. Upon getting logged into their portal, there was a charge for 235 for a vacuum the previous company brought in January! I had a 0 balance with ****. I called Darwin and of course you can't talk to any local manager directly. They give you a runaround. 2 weeks later ****** called me after I called and emailed for 2 weeks to tell me it was charges from previous company. I explained that they empties and refilled a filthy pool without cleaning it, and I complained to **** multiple times, they brought the vacuum to fix their mistake. Beware and never rent from either of these companies!! Also the vacuum came from ****** and was less than 100. Nobody came for an extra visit to install. When they came to clean the pool, they plugged it in. 0 Stars

    I piggy back everyone's responses on here . Everything that is happy to these people has and is happening to us with our home. Multiple unnecessary charges , fees . We always pay on time with proof. And they will not call us back .This is ridiculous
