            My partner and I recently applied to rent a home in ******, *****, under the impression that if approved we would be able to move in at some point during the month of September 2023. Our application was submitted and approved on September 9, 2023. On September 11, 2023 we were contacted by the listing agent and informed that the move-in date was pushed back to the start of October. We immediately informed the listing agent that this would not work for us, as we had already submitted our 30-day notice and requested a reimbursement of our application fees. The listing agent informed us that we would need to speak to her broker in regards to getting reimbursed. The broker (*********************) was extremely rude and refused to reimburse me the application fee, then proceeded to block my number. As of today, the property is still being advertised as available for September 15, 2023. Had we known that this advertisement was fraudulent, my partner and I never would have completed the application process.
