I spoke with ***** *****, and ***** ***** at ************, and ************ about two employees they hired using my home address as a record of household. Its concerning to me these two employees did this, but according to my conversation with *****, and ***** they were less concerned about my concern. Its apparent they hire possible criminal employee and have no process screening potential employees. Now, because of Floor King, I am an alert for their two employees coming to my home seeking their paychecks, chk #, *******, and ********. The two employees used mu home address, and Floor King doesnt give a hoot about the public. It’s amazing the almost have the same number, but the last digit is off by one. It makes me think they both were hired using fraudulent practices and someone needs to investigate how Floor King conducts business. Its concerning and the public needs to hear how they conduct business.

This complaint is in regard to two former summer employees that used the complainant's address for their home address on file.  Floor King was made aware of this when the complainant received the two former employee's final pay stubs in the mail.  The complainant called after receiving the pay stubs.  They were not paychecks, but rather their final pay stub.  The reason the pay stubs have consecutive numbers is because the former employees were related and had the same last name and payroll is run alphabetically by last name.  These two summer employees are no longer working for Floor King.  I spoke to the complainant two times.  I assured the complainant that their address was not being used for any other purposes.  For future hires, Floor King plans to require a form verification that they receive mail at the address on file.

I am rejecting this response because:

I would like to note for the record that I disagree with the information contained in the response from Floor King and truly believe has no relevance or sincerity. (It’s a cookie cutter response).  The two employees as Floor King alluded to have different last names, and don't appear to be related based on their names (******/*****) and based on my interpretation.  (We(I), BBB can’t validate this response) Also, it’s irrelevant whether they were checks, or paystubs.  It has nothing to do with my safety, and family safety as well. I also contacted the local police department in the event they come looking for their last check/paystub or W2...(still remains to exist to happen or not if they arrive at my home of record--MINE)  I am concerned, they should be reprimanded for this serious incident.

Using someone's address without permission is illegal, and a true business as Floor King accepting a bogus address for employment is misleading to me, and the public.  I also believe Floor King should do more and contact the local U.S. Postal Inspection Service office for the error they imposed on my family.

"There are several ways to commit address fraud, and it is considered a crime in most jurisdictions. Depending on the severity of the crime, the legal penalties can include fines and imprisonment. Address fraud can be committed by businesses that use a personal address instead of a post office box number.”

Floor King has full culpability, because they have no measures in place to ensure they hire vetted employees.  In my case, they knowingly and intentionally acting to harm me…the intended recipient in some way.
