On March 11, 2022, BBB contacted Tshirt Aliens regarding advertised claims on their website https://tshirtaliens.com

Tshirt Aliens advertises customer testimonials.  BBB Code ofAdvertising states in general, advertising which uses testimonials or endorsements is likely tomislead or confuse if it is not genuine and does not actually represent the current opinion of theendorser. If a consumer’s experience represented in an advertisement is not the typicalexperience of those using the product or service unless the advertisement clearly andconspicuously discloses what the expected results will be.

BBB requested Tshirt Aliens. to disclose and substantiate the typical result from customers’testimonials.

Tshirt Aliens also advertised they offered the "lowest possible price" of their products.

BBB Code of Advertising states despite an advertiser’s best efforts to ascertain competitiveprices, the rapidity with which prices fluctuate and the difficulty of determining prices of allsellers at all times preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualifiedunderstanding/lowest price claims. Advertisers must have proper substantiation for all claimsprior to dissemination. Unqualified underselling claims must be avoided. Advertisers can lessenthe potential for consumer confusion by appropriate qualifications to any underselling/lowestprice claim, such as by stating, if truthful, that the advertiser will meet or beat a lower price. Insuch circumstances, the advertiser must comply with section 13.

Section 13 of The Code of Advertising states advertisements which set out company policy ofmatching or bettering competitors’ prices may be used provided that: The offer is made in goodfaith, The offer clearly and conspicuously discloses fully any material and significant conditionswhich apply including, if applicable what evidence a consumer must present to take advantageof the offer and the terms of the offer are not unrealistic or unreasonable for the consumer. 

BBB requested Tshirt Aliens to disclose what a customer needed to present in order to take advantage of the offer.

Lastly Tshirt Aliens advertises “Our mission is to reduce crime in communities and bring you a safe,sweet home.”

BBB Code of Advertising states the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptiveadvertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate anyobjective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they shouldpresent such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.

BBB requested Tshirt Aliens to substantiate how their business reduces crime incommunities or discontinue the advertised claim.
