      I was sent multiple texts saying you must complete the registration 48 hours before your appointment, or it will be cancelled. So I took the 2 HOURS to complete the online form. You have to have a computer, a scanner, and be computer savvy enough to know the difference in a pdf and a jpg. I am very computer literate but my husband would have not been able to get past question 1, and many people would not have the equipment. I think that practice is discriminatory. I went for the appointment, did the evaluation, talked with ************, and was assured several times, this oral device was covered by ********* At the end of the appointment they have you sign off on several items on the tablet. When I got to the section on ********* I was shocked that they wanted me to sign over the check from ******** to them- in all my doctors, not one has ******** send me the check. Then they wanted my secondary insurance to do the same. Then came the crowning blow- they wanted me to give them a credit card and said I could be charged up to $7000+, even though they already said the device was $2000+. RED FLAGS!! The business manager gave me placating answers, so I walked out. Just BEWARE!

      Thank you for your feedback. I apologize that we did not have a chance to talk in person( I am the business manager) while you were here. While there is some truth and also some information that is NOT factual in your feedback. I would love to clear it all up over a phone call. It will clarify why our policies are set in place and give you correct information regarding our services and coverage. In addition, I apologize the paperwork was frustrating. Our goal is for it to be as simple and user friendly as possible. Our paperwork can be completed with a smart phone and or/computer and does NOT require a scanner. Our team is always available via business hours to assist our patients with paperwork if necessary.

      First of all, we DID talk in person during my appointment. Your responses to my questions prompted me to leave the office as the answers were so obtuse. I wanted straight answers and all I got were hollow assurances, with no facts to back them up. Regarding completing the forms, I was not frustrated as I had all the equipment in order to complete the form. I was angry it took 2 hours to complete. And I beg to differ on the statement that a scanner is not needed. How would you take the front and back of your driver's license, front and back of your insurance cards and insert them in the online form as a jpg without scanning. I scanned it, converted to jpg, and inserted in the form. How else would that be accomplished? And in the MANY reminder messages I received, it stated each time, Registration paperwork must be completed 48 hours prior to your appointment or your appointment will be cancelled. No where does it say, we will help you with the paperwork. My sole point is, I was fortunate enough to have all the equipment and know-how to complete the registration forms, but others are not so fortunate, so therefore my complaint of discrimination. I have recently spoken to 3 business managers of local hospitals and I posed the question on ******** sending a check to the patient. They all laughed and said in all their years in hospital accounting have they EVER seen ******** pay directly to the patient. It just is not done, and therefore my feeling that it is a scam.
