      My wife and I are both senior citizens and we are reaching out to you regarding the installation of 27 solar panels at our home at *************************************. This was at a cost of over $35,000.00. The solar panels were installed by Freedom Solar in ****** (************, ***** Office). On April 27, 2024, and the inspections were completed on May 13, 2024. The holdup, of course, has been the almighty ************ who has yet to put in the required meter to get permission to operate (P.T.O). I have reached out numerous times to Freedom Solar to get this final piece of the project finished so we don't have to pay both bills every month. I tried to call the initial salesperson (************) to call me back, however, to no avail. We live on a budget, and this impacts us greatly. Note: If you search Xcel regarding holding up completion of these types of projects, they responded only after it was reported in the news. We had contracted this work to take advantage of the early summer months, however, that window is waning. Please help!

      This company is a clown show! The service record listed in the reviews shows a consistent lack of integrity, over time with various clients of theirs. I was left waiting for a scheduled 2 pm appointment indefinitely, and only after calling repeatedly to find out why, was I informed that the Freedom Solar representative decided to cancel the call without informing me. So glad I learned early to stay far away from this joke of a company! One star is way too much for this review.

Our design team determined that the extensive shading caused by the trees on your property would not allow your solar energy expectations to be met.       I purchased the panels in good faith. They were installed in 2021. 7 months after the installation the panels failed. The problem was the micro inverters. They were made in *********** and apparently there were delivery issues. It took 6 months for the issue to be resolved. At one point, I called the company in the *********** and complained to them. The micro inverters were replaced and the system worked for awhile. The fall of 2022 the system failed again. I got in touch with them in January of 2023 regarding the problem. They sent people out and they checked it but couldn't diagnose the problem on site. They sent someone in February and told me it was a frequency problem with my PowerWall. The Tesla folks came out and there was no problem. In March they sent someone else out, he also couldn't diagnose on site.They told me this time it was a voltage problem with Oncor.. In April I had the Oncor technician come out and check, no voltage problem. By now I had been paying the bill for the panels for 7 months with none working panels as well as paying the electric company for all the electrical power. Freedom Solar claimed to be working with Oncor on the voltage problem, which turned out not to be true, just another stall. In May of 2023, I threatened legal action. Only then did they realize the problem was again the micro inverters and got them replaced.I contacted SunPower and sent them my electric bills to be reimbursed. They claimed the panels had been working and offered less compensation. I haven't dealt with them since then as I am exhausted dealing with the whole thing. The system is working, but I don't believe optimally. I am out thousands of dollars and had the entire system work about half the time I've owned it. They lied when they sold it to me, saying it was made in the U.S. I am extremely unhappy with. my experience.

      Worst service that they provide. We had to detach the panels from roof and reinstall them for roof replacement. They initially said it would be 30 days gap between detach and install. After detach, we had to follow up with them 15 times to get a date for reinstall, which is more than 60 days from detach date. My neighbor uses some other solar company, they were able to get it reinstalled within a week. I would never suggest this company for anyone.

      Hello;My experience with power outages began with Hurricane **** We were without power for 13 days. I met my brother-in-law in *****, ********* to get generators, gas, and air conditioners. My brother-In-law worked for Exxon and he had 75 gallons of gas for us. Thanks to him, we made it through **** Later, I was still not receptive to Solar Energy, but I knew I had to take care of my family if we had another storm. Then, it snowed. My sister had no power, and the plumbing froze in her house here and in Canyon Lake. We were fortunate and only lost power for a short time. I still ran off the people wanting to show me Solar Power. One day, I shocked my wife by saying that we needed to learn about Solar Power. I knew from other friends how expensive running a whole house generator on propane was for them and due to our health issues, knew I had to do something. We have plenty of sunlight and no natural gas. Therefore, Solar Energy was by far our best option. I looked up companies and reviews and set up a few appointments. I read an article that said SunPower had the best solar panels. I called, and later, ********************* of came to talk to us.*** was on time, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He listened to us and taught us about SunPower. When he started to calculate what our needs were, I gave him my requirements. I wanted it to work. Period! I dont like things that dont work. He listened and showed us what we needed and a few days later, we purchased his proposal. He kept in contact with us and answered every question we had. He made this experience very easy.If you want the best solar power solution and you want it to work. ********************* and SunPower are the people to work with.       I was told that if I had to replace the roof, they would have to come out and remove the solar panels and reinstall after the roof was replaced. WRONG. They will only do it for a significate charge that was NEVER discussed! The reason part of the roof has to be replaced was due to holes they made in the roof and decking when they misjudged or mismeasured their mounting placements. They tried to blame the original salesman who has left the company. They don't honor their contract or word. Still haven't heard from the area manager since I called them on Dec 11 2023. Can't fix the roof until they can give me a data a time for removal before I can schedule the roofer!!

      I bought a home in June 2023 that had solar panels installed. This was a major part of my decision to buy this home. Our solar panels stopped working in September 2023 and I have been in constant (twice a week) contact with Freedom Solar and the manufacturer, Sun Power, about the problem. Both companies acknowledge the problem but have done nothing but promise it will be fixed. They frequently blame each other for the lack of service. They did send a man out in mid-November to look at the problem, but he confessed that he had only been with the company a short time and that he was unsure of how to fix it, nor did he have the proper tools to analyze the problem. I have also asked and submitted paperwork back in September to transfer the warranty. I have followed up regularly since the and still dont have a copy of the transfer. These two companies are the worst contractors I have had to work with in over 40 years of home ownership. I am now faced with hiring attorneys to resolve the nonperformance issues and I have lost hundreds of dollars in solar energy rebates. THIS IS NOT ONLY POOR PERFORMANCE BUT PLACES A STAIN ON THE ENTIRE GREEN INDUSTRY.

      First thing their sale guy did was lied to convince me to go for solar. They told that my energy bill will be zero once solar pnels are installed and opretational. Yes, I have proof to show it, they did calculate how much I paid for that time using my electric bill and they did a calculation to show how I can get zero energy bill one I go for 100% energy generation form solar. I fell to their lies and got started the project. Throughout the project customer serive people did not have any idea what was going on and they also lied, told whatever come to their head. After installing the panles I was looking for energy company who does net metering in *****, and I could not find any. Becase sale guy tshowed the calcualtion saying netmetering will give me zero bill. I asked abou this form Freedomsolar and they said there is non in ***** and some other states have net metering. They generally use same information for all customers regardless of state. I filed a compnain about this with ***** consumer prection agency and I have no idea what happend to it. The truth is you never get the same rate for your excess energy as what you pay get get enrgy form the grit. Power companies pay you whole slae price and you have ot pay retail price. For example, If I pay 12C per Kwh, when I provide excess energy to grid, I will get 4C per kwh. In addition to that you have to pay delivery charge for all energy you use. so there is never going to be zero bill. Freedom slar doe snot tell this to customers. Recently I had to get roof replaced after hail strom. They required 100% payment before the detach-reattache process is complete. Once you paid they will dissapear. There is no direct number to call sheduling. Alway they say somebody will contat me, buy after 6 weeks no body called me, I had to call theym to know that my reinstalltion is scheduled 2 months after the roof was replced. I donot recomend or reffer this company for anybody. Their customer service has worst people.

      When I purchased the panels they were very responsive and did a great job. I had storm damage and my panels had to be removed while the roof was replaced. Freedom Solar had to be paid before they would even schedule to uninstall the panels and they day they were supposed to arrive they rescheduled. They told me that they would be back in 2 to 4 weeks to reinstall the panels. They uninstalled them on Oct 3rd and they still haven't been reinstalled. They had to be paid before they would schedule the reinstall so they have no incentive to do the reinstall. I can't even get a date when I can really expect to get a crew here. I've been given multiple dates and they don't show up. Yesterday I received an email saying that they didn't realize where I lived and they didn't have a crew in my area.I used to recommend this company and SunPower panels to everyone but I will no longer be recommending them.
