I was SCAMMED. I paid for a lead on this Website for a prospective client, and we communicated for a while. We settled that I would tutor this client's daughter for a certain amount of time. This person sent me a check for payment right before the first ******* He sent me too much, and asked me to send back the excess, which I did (unfortunately). The next day, the check was returned. This was a fraudulent check, and thus the excess money I sent him directly was never seen again. He pushed me to send him the rest of the money of his check back, but I informed him that his check was fraudulent and I knew he was a professional scammer. I reported this to the *** and my personal bank, but unfortunately I lost about $1600 from this debacle. I reported this to Tutors.com, but they insisted that they do not hold responsibility and cannot vet all of these inquiries made by potential students. This is a terrible company who offers absolutely no protections for the tutors that work through them.

I'm a tutor at Tutors.com I recently received a prospective job lead and a certain "Shoonne" a supposed to be student chose me to tutor her/ him. When I responded to this job opportunity, I had to pay $15 to be able to get in touch with "Shoonne".This certain entity didn't have the decency to respond to my text unless this was a bait "student" so Tutors.com could get my hard earned $15.I emailed and a certain "*********" replied. In my email, I asked what happens to my money since the "student" didn't respond. ********* responded that the money would be used just in case the student responded. It's now 2 days since I was sent that "tutoring job".That certain "*********" didn't respond anymore. When you click on the website it merely goes to the tutoring site, all you can see is "Tutoring Jobs", "Sign up", "Log in"I want to delete my payment method and all I can see is edit and this one is for any tutor to edit just the expiration month and year.Very distressing.

I am a tutor that used Tutors.com to get clients. The website looks, feels, and functions real but behind the seems it seems fishy. They charge you roughly $23 for advertisement if a client responds. I put in on the website that I am going to charge $25/hr, but my clients have told me they charge anywhere from $50-$60/hr. I did not know about this and I certainly did not receive that money. Also, the website is copyrighted under Liaison ********* **** which is a weird software company that works with customers in *************** (not being racist). I don't know if this was just a glitch or something scammy is going on, but I wont be using that website again.
