      I'm very disappointed to report that two properties on listed on the VRBO Site: Property NO. ******ha and HA-FMFL29 both located in the **********, ** are racial profiling. Both homes are listed on the site for the dates of interest but each of them decline my inquiry; one property owner simply decline the offer but the property is still listed and available for the dates I requested. The other stated that she has another family that she plans to rent to and ask that I cancel my request so that she doesn't lose her "super host" status. I don't know how she could consider herself a super host when the property is listed and available to rent but doesn't want to rent to me...this is terrible and their properties should be removed from VRBO in my opinion

      It is very unfortunate that customers have to deal with business like **********************, where customer service is NOT their priority. This company has found the way to lie to the customer, through their platform for ********************** rental, where apparently there is no check or control who "owner" or "company" join that platform and promote their property or product. Once the customer does their payment and ********************** took the money, there is no more customer, because they don't care about anything. I do request for your Bureau advocate for us, the customers, and help us to take this kind of company out of the market to avoid more people like me ended up robbed and misleading as they used to do. I just have couple of unbearable experiences with 2 properties, and after the "owner" went completely out of the contract, I contacted VRBO and they were just WORSE that the "host". Completely a nightmare. They definitely shouldn't continue doing business in this way. For your financial and mental safety PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THROUGH VRBO!!

      Stayed at The ********** with a host named ******, the place was absolutely disgusting (I would love to submit photos) when I sent them to him he offered to send a cleaning crew out the next day, which would have left us with no place to stay for at LEAST one day as a everything would have to be removed and cleaned. Mold in the air conditioner (only has a window unit) pubic hairs on the toilet lid , mold everywhere, dust caked on every surface including the walls. I left him a review which he replied to lying about a separate situation to deflect from what he couldn't defend (when I got there he gave confusing details that got my car towed, I wasn't happy but honestly I should've double checked the signs so that; on me as well. Vrbo allowed him to respond but does not allow the original person leaving the review to counter. This is a terrible practice and unethical. Don't book with Vrbo, choose a company that cares about their customers. He made up lies that I threatened him and many others knowing I couldn't respond or post photos.

      My husband and I had a horrible experience with both VRBO and a Host. I didn't realize that when we booked through VRBO that we were actually booking a property that is managed by an external partner and not VRBO which means that VRBO takes NO responsibility for your reservation, nor do they provide any customer service. We tried to reach the host several times through the VRBO mailbox leading up to our trip with no response nor did we receive final trip details 24 hours prior to our trip. I contacted VRBO several times and they could not provide any support other than trying to reach the host for us, which was unsuccessful. We disputed the charge and after several calls to VRBO and trying to reach the host we finally received a message from the host saying that we would receive a full refund. That was on July 26, and I never received the refund. I have now disputed the charge with my credit card company.

      The Worse Customer Serve I Have Ever Had I don't want to have to retell my story as I have done it multiple times during my 5 hours of phone calls with VRBO trying to resolve my issues. I even contacted the executive team to try and resolve it. Unfortunately, they only responded that they would look at it and haven't done so. My vacation was ruined. I was left scrabbling myself to get accommodations as my family looked on. The owner of the company cancelled 4 hours prior to check-in and VRBO did very little to help. In fact, I wish they had just told me I was on my own from the beginning. The process of dealing with them has been painful. I am still waiting for them to assist me with settling as agreed. I wish there was some repercussions for being this horrible. I will try AirB&B or hotels from now on. VRNBO is not worth the hassle. I had one week this year to spend with my kids and it was tarnished by this experience, for them as well as myself. Never again! Date of experience: July 02, 2024

      Vrbo is horrible and should be shut down. They let people vandalize your home and then do nothing about it but threaten to take down your listing. You only talk to people overseas and it accomplishes nothing but this is by design.

      I am a business owner who has had great success with my direct website and other booking platforms. On VRBO, I only had problems:1) Mostly scam inquiries like requesting to mail a check, pay cash in person, and other suspicious requests.2) I deactivated my listing then over a year later it popped up as "active" (no action taken by me) and received an insta-book (which had never been turned on). When I cancelled the booking, VRBO kept $250 from me as a fee from the platform. 3) VRBO refused to delete my listing, and instead told me they could only deactivate (even though it had been deactived and popped up as active).4) They used my listing to advertise on other platforms; I was showing up on hotels.com ads, even though I have never used that platform and did not consent to that. When people clicked on the ad, it said my property was not available and pushed them to other local properties

      VRBO does not stand up to it's policy nor do the people that work there know how to do their job. We had a wildfire and had an emergency evacuation, I had to send them their own policies from the help.vrbo.com. Maybe they cannot read.

      Was scammed by a home owner. Was told by the owner and VRBO that a refund would be processed. It never happened. VRBO customer service has been no help to rectify the issue. I have now escalated to the c-suite and CFO. This company is not reputable.

      I booked for entire family kids grandkids for week July 4 the host cancelled 1 1/2 to arriving to ********* ******* from *********** in I contacted and was escalated told she did cancel they would do full reimbursement to me plus 50 percent if booked Expedia and vrbo I did two nights two rooms in hotel the only thing I got was 3 to 5 vrbo all added up sent in was told every day no issue still is on phone daily no 50 percent period closed case twice always being told lies help
