I purchased a new outdoor AC unit and they said I needed to replace evaporator coil along with it so I did it cost $5900.00 I paid cash, the outdoor unit has 10 yr warranty and the evaporator coil has 5 year warranty. Well In May this year my unit was not cooling. They came and had to replace the evaporator coil because it had a hole in it. The just sent me a bill for $727.90 for refrigerant my warranty says all parts, labor and materials are covered. I dont think I should have to pay this charge. Not my fault refrigerant leaked out the part had a hole in it.Business response

We replaced *************************** condenser and evaporator coil on 03/26/2023. We had to convert her old unit from the old R22 refrigerant to the current refrigerant of R410A. The evaporator coil has a five-year parts warranty. Refrigerant is not considered a part. We use a flat rate pricing which includes the labor, refrigerant and the warranty exchange fee that our suppliers charge us, which is $100.00.
A copy of **************************** quote is attached showing the parts warranty. The parts, labor and materials that she is referring to is part of the quote upon installing the new equipment.

I am rejecting this response because: the warranty was sent to me after the coil was installed and said that all parts, labor and materials were included for 5 years, refrigerant never mentioned as being not covered. The unit will not run without it!
