On 3/15/2024 I had a HVAC system installed by Blue Ribbon Cooling and Heating. I paid for a 24 **** system. However a 19 **** system was installed. This is bait and switch, AKA fraud. I've tried for over 2 months to get a refund of the difference between what they charge for a 24 **** vs. a 19 ****. As I recall when I was being shown pricing options the 19 **** system was about $3500 less. That is what I expect for a refund. However they are only offering $500. I expect to be refunded the total difference, not a fraction of it. This appears to be standard practice for Blue Ribbon to bait and switch. Blue Ribbon is not operating ethically. I am attaching a picture of the actual unit with the seer label and the invoice indicating the **** of 24. I'm including the spec sheet that shows this model only does 19 **** . The "9" in the model number defines this.Business response

We sincerely apologize for the experience you've had with our services. It's disheartening to learn that we've failed to meet your expectations and provided anything less than the quality and integrity we strive for.
Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we take your concerns very seriously. We're deeply sorry for the misunderstanding regarding the **** rating of the system installed and for any damage incurred during the installation process. We do have the replacement panels on order for the unit that was scratched during the shipping and installation process.
While we do understand and appreciate your frustration regarding the units **** rating, we do write our estimates to include Up to 24 ****, because application, ducting, and a variety of other factors play a role in determining the final active **** rating of each unit. We have processed that $500 refund for the inconvenience and the misunderstanding. We hope that you can appreciate our position and we hope to earn your trust again in the future.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The difference between what was sold and what was installed is about $3500. Blue Ribbon only offered a $500 refund. Then they claimed I owed them $500 after I got the refund which means no refund was actually given. Blue Ribbon installs less of a system than what they sell and receive payment for. This is classic bait and switch tactics.

Our estimates clearly state Up to 24 SEER2. We again apologize for any confusion, however this is the system you purchased and that was represented in your estimate including the **** certificate number. We did process a refund of $500.00 and there is no bill due for that amount. Any document you received stating otherwise would have been in error as I have verified there is no balance due on your account. We wish you the best of luck and find it unfortunate that this has been your experience however we have offered all that we are able to and we do consider the matter to be resolved. I am rejecting this response because: They did not install a system that is capable of 24 seer. It is only capable of 19 seer as per the manufacture, Daikin. At this time ****** no longer offers a model that goes up to 24 seer. Blue Ribbon is clearly doing a bait and switch being they can not possibly install a unit that can do 24 seer based on a Daikin platform.
