My name is *********************** and I am reaching out due to an issue that I am experiencing with a vehicle that I purchased from *************-BASTROP. In February 2023, i purchased a used 2019 Audi Q3 that had ****** miles for $34,998.81.VIN: ***************** On September 17 2023, I attempted to trade in the vehicle and was made aware of a potential odometer rollback on the vehicle per the car fax. I reviewed the car fax that i received at the time of purchase, and it showed that there was a potential odometer rollback. On 03/08/2022, ************************* in *******, ** reported the vehicle had 81, 792 and then on 07/25/2022, the same place reported the miles as ******. It was sent to this dealership on 02/16/2023 and was purchased in 02/28/2023. I contacted this automotive center today and the owner stated that they have no record of my vehicle by VIN number or previous license plates ****** or *******. I am unsure who to ask to assist me with this issue and have sought legal counsel due this. I notified my previous sales representative about this issue back in September 2023 and was told it would be handled. As of today, this issue still reflects on the carfax so I am seeking assistance.

We are currently giving Danver automotive instructions on how to fix the mistake they made with carfax. As you can see in the customers complaint, they were aware of the odometer discrepancy when she purchased the vehicle. This should not be a surprise. The customer signed a copy of the Carfax report at the date of purchase and knew of the odometer problem. Never the less, we are working with both parties to come up with a solution.

I am rejecting this response because this is not a truthful response! I was not aware of the odometer discrepancy or else I would have brought it up and/or would not have purchased the vehicle. In addition, I was not provided a copy of the odometer statement at the time of purchase nor was there an indication of the odometer discrepancy on the odometer disclosure statement. When I asked for a copy of the disclosure statement in December 2023 from my sales **** **************************** she asked me why I even needed it and that they do not give them out! When I informed ************ about this odometer issue back in September, she claimed to know about it and stated she would reach out to the automotive center to correct it back in September 2023 and it was not until now that efforts are being made to fix it. She told me she "forgot about it" and that she knew it needed to be done! This entire car has been an issue since the start, from the issues with having to be reissued multiple temporary tags to now the issue with the odometer. Please be truthful regarding this situation.

To Whom it may ********************************* reviewing all the information it is clear that Sames Bastrop Ford has no fault in this matter. Sames Bastrop Ford has shown that the proper state inspection, vehicle inspection and vehicle history was done by the dealer and the previous Audi dealership under warranty repairs and recalls.

Knowing the fact that the vehicles computers system holds all the mileage and hours of use data, the computer was review by Audi on 2/16/22 in ****** **  with ****** for a 30k Service , and 30 days later an independent service ************************* **** miles away from ****** Records ****** this is physically

impossible to travel ****** miles in 30 days, if a person drove 70 mph for 12 hrs. a day over a month the most that they could drive is  ****** miles.  Must the fact that ******* Automotive already emailed the customer stating that they have never had this car in their service department show that this is simple a

keypunch error.  Car Fax states they are not responsible for errors on third parties, however they can be corrected by the customer request.  Need to Contact Carfax and explain it looks like a title issue in *************.   *******************************************************

If for some reason *************** is simply unhappy with the vehicle, we are happy to purchase the vehicle back for the current market value, with the current odometer reading.

This Closed Sames Bastrop Ford Response.

      Thank you, ***********************

      Complaint: 21105919

I am rejecting this response because your dealership failed to have this odometer issue fixed prior to selling me the vehicle and when notified of the issue, it still was not fixed. Now you're saying it is the customers responsibility to fix this issue when it was present at the time of sale & has not been the same response via email. You would think that an apology for not informing the me of this issue nor fixing it prior to selling it to me, and a prompt resolution would be given instead of the dealership's quickness to point fingers and put the blame on other entities. The overall experience with this dealership and sales shows that the sale of a vehicle is more important than honesty and having the customer's best interest. If this issue is not able to be resolved by ******* Automotive or Carfax, I will be requesting my down payment and tax/tite/fees as a refund. I have also filed a complaint with the *** due to your dealership's deception with this error. I would not like to sell this vehicle back to the dealership at market value, considering that it would cause me to be upside by almost 15k. Thanks!

      Regards,

On 9/15/22 I placed an order for a new 2023 **** Maverick Hybrid Pickup. I made a $500.00 Deposit . The agreed upon Net Price was $25,245 . In late September ***** I was told by *********************** ( the original salesman ) that my truck had been scheduled to be built and that it would be upgraded to a **** model with no additional cost. It would be available for pickup on !2/12/23.. On 11/17/23 ********************* called me to tell me that it had arrived early. I told him that I would be there on Monday 11/21/23 to pick it up. When I arrived to pick it up I was informed that the new price was $29,410 . I spoke to the new car sale manager ( ******************* ) . They wouldn't attempt to make it right. The salesman told me to keep him informed . That same day they put it on their website for $34,000 . The next day it was gone.. They did refund my $500 Deposit

      Business response

**** increased pricing on the Maverick between model years, as a dealer we have no control over manufacturer price increases.  **** has offered some customers private offers to mitigate the price difference, but unfortunately **** did not offer that to ***************  As a dealer, we also have no control over what customers get the private offers from the manufacturer.  The dealer is an independent franchise, separate from the manufactuerer.

The form ************** signed at time of order said that the truck would be sold at MSRP, and MSRP pricing was offered to ************** at the time of arrival.  The dealer refunded the deposit after the customer stated that they no longer wanted the truck at MSRP.  The form signed at the time of order also stated that deposits were non-refundable, but Sames **** did refund the deposit.

I can understand why ************** is upset with the situation, but the anger is displaced.  The cost of the unit increased due to **** Motor Company, not Sames Bastrop Ford.
