Purchased 2019 Tahoe on May 5 2021 *****************. I was informed the Caltec ResistALL product was NOT optional that I would be required to purchase. I believe I should have the option to purchase.I filed one claim and of course denied.I think this comes under the deceptive claim provision that has treble damages. I am only asking for the $1298 that I was charged.Business response

Please have him call me ************************* at ************. I don't show that his car has been back to our shop. I would like a chance to address the issue. Also we don't have any mandatory adds here. If we can't fix the issue I will refund the 899 he paid for the policy. Thanks

I purchased my Jeep Grand Cherokee from Covert ******* around the end of August (my account says I began to make payments on August 29th). The day after I left the dealership my check engine light came on. I contacted my sales agent and he asked me to come by the dealership to check the codes. Once he ran the machine on my vehicle, the error code came back as a leak with the tubing from my gas tank to my engine. He was on the phone with me as he was speaking to the service department and reassured me that there would be no further damage or problems to my vehicle if not treated right away. The reason why he asked this is because they did not have an open ability right away for my Jeep to be seen. A few weeks past and as I am heading home there was a very strong smell of gas. The gas was so overwhelming I began to become dizzy, however I was also near a gas station so I thought that maybe it was coming from there. The next morning, September 19th at 5:30am, the car began to shut down and losing gas quickly. The Jeep smelled completely of gas and was a towing concern as well. I called my sales agent and he stated that he no longer worked at the dealership. Come to find out later that statement was not true, and he told us that he thought we were someone else. We then called the dealership and they stated that they do not work on vehicles with excessive damage and I would need to take it somewhere else. Therefore we had the **** towed to ****************** down the road. Their findings reported the Jeep had a fuel pump and water pump leak. I then called Covert and reported that I felt they should be fixing the vehicle since it was barely a month of having the vehicle. Covert was extremely unprofessional and helpful with this issue and I am forced to pay $1255.26 that I do not have. I feel as though the dealership should help in someway. Our sales associate "Chip" put my family and I in danger by falsely reassuring me that everything would be ok.Business response

We have reviewed the information and I have authorized a check to be cut to refund the bill paid at *****. We did request the car be brought back to use to repair and that did not happen.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I felt that the service that I experienced was too stressful and that if I did take the car to Covert, it would have not been a priority to be fixed. I originally wanted the vehicle to be towed back directly to Covert as soon as the gas leak happened, however the receptionist that I spoke to at Covert told me that the Covert ******* center only does Oil Changes, Filter Changes, and other minor services. And that it was "complicated" with the differences in Covert & ***** due to my vehicle being a Jeep. My car was towed from 2 other places until I decided the best option for me was to get it serviced where I had to get it towed.I want to verify that the information that I read was correct. Will Covert ******* be paying ****************** the $1255.26 for their service to my vehicle?

We are aware of the issue and have resolved it. We had an part that promised to us from the supplier at a certain time. They gave us several dates and it kept getting delayed. We finally received the part and fixed the vehicle.Initial Complaint

I paid off the loan early for my 2017 Traverse on 6/8/22 and have requested the refund for the *** insurance several times and *************************** at Covert keeps giving excuses as to why they haven't sent the refund to me. She said it can ***********-8 weeks to process the refund but on 6/13/22 she sent a letter that it was being processed. It's been 10 weeks and she won't answer my emails. I want my refund.Business response

We will overnight a check for the full amount although we are still waiting for the refunds to process from the insurance carries. We apologize for the delay.
