this company is a rip off they will steal your money take my word for it do not buy from this company.they will promise you the world when you buy from them but when you are ready to sell back to them they want even take your call they are always busy?.when they sell you coins they will tell you in private that you will make a good profit off this investment but its a lie.please do not buy from this company unless you want to loose your money.when you stop buying from them you are history to them they will not even take your call.check around on the price you are paying by looking at ngc, pcgs web site.i did and 1st. american told me they ( ngc,pcgs) dont update their website do not fall for that it is updated.their premium is so high no coin will ever be worth enough for you to make a profit.

We are in receipt of Mr. ******* review related to his transactions with 1st American Reserve. First, we want to apologize for our representative’s failure to provide the requested information in a timely manner. Our records indicate our representative called Mr. ***** on March 18, 2022 in response to a message left by Mr. *****. Mr. ***** requested the company make an offer to purchase his coins. The representative submitted a request for bids from our numismatic department on the same day. Unfortunately, the bids were not communicated to Mr. ***** in a timely manner. Additionally, Mr. ***** left a message on April 5, 2022 and did not receive a return phone call. We take full responsibility for these missteps and strive to ensure that all customer requests are addressed in a timely manner. However, we do not agree with Mr. *****’s characterization of our company. **** *******, our numismatic consultant, has been honored recently as the 2021 American Numismatic Association Dealer of the Year. While we certainly want all customers to make a profit from their coin transactions, there are no express or implied promises of profits over any time frame. This is memorialized in recorded verifications for purchases Mr. ***** made with our company. That being said, many coins purchased by Mr. ***** from our company are currently in a profit position. As with many investment portfolios some coins are also currently in a loss position. It is a true statement that NGC and PCGS website pricing is not always reflective of current pricing as both entities have been unable to update pricing quickly enough to keep up with market moves. **** *******, the numismatic expert for our company, contributes to the price guides mentioned and has been asked to only submit pricing every three (3) months because of the inability, at times, of the guides to update pricing more frequently. Mr. ***** may have misinterpreted such a statement to mean the entities never update pricing. The premiums charged by the company are competitive and within industry standards. In fact, Mr. ***** price shopped coins with other companies and price guides and discussed pricing with our representative at the time of his purchases which sometimes resulted in the lowering of the prices he paid. We look forward to communicating with Mr. ***** in an attempt to resolve his issues with the company.

It is now april 21 2022 first american reserve still has not contacted me with an offer on any coin i purchased from them. yes their recording does not promise a profit but i made it a point to ask both people i delt with will i make a profit off this purchase on every coin i bought and in private with no one else around to witness anything said both said sure you will. so never meet in private with anyone have a witness or record all meetings. why would anyone invest in rare coins if they thought they would never make a profit .I was told if i held these coins for ten years they would call me wanting their coins back and they would offer me so much i would faint when they told me.its been thirteen years no offer yet .why want you ever take my calls?

We are in receipt of Mr. ******* most recent response. Our company will be submitting an offer to Mr. ***** later today. Although the overall value of his coin portfolio is not in profit, our offers for 23 of the 37 coins he purchased are either break even or more than he paid. It is worth noting that in recorded transaction verifications, Mr. ***** acknowledged on multiple occasions he understood the value of his coins could go up or down and that our representative did not guarantee anything about his purchase. Mr. ***** also acknowledged his answers were true, correct and without influence from any representative of 1st American Reserve. We want to amicably resolve any issues Mr. ***** has with our company and will communicate with him in an attempt to purchase the coins. If we are unable to come to an agreement, we always pledge to work through the Better Business Bureau to arbitrate and resolve the issues. There are no fees involved in the arbitration because our company is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau.

I did get an offer from first american reserve and boy was i let down by this company. I know they say dont promise a profit but like i said the salesperson will promise you to make a profit it is such a great investment they tell you in private only.im a very very honest person please take my advice and stay away from first american reserve.the offer they made me was a joke some coins where at a very small profit and this has been a 13 year investment.the most expensive coin was over a 40 percent loss why would anyone invest in rare old gold to lose this kind of money when like i said i made it a point and ask every time will i make a profit off this investment and in private they say yes. i know they will deny this they are trained very well not to have proof of any promise thats why they only say it in private.so if you want to lose money go ahead and invest with them
