ECP Computer Has Three of my computers & refused to return them. I dropped three of my computers off at the business to transfer data, The business did not give me a receipt or complete the work as I instructed. (Additionally, I was told the work had NO Warranty). The business stated that they would remove the work, and give return the units back to me. The computer called me back and stated they would not give me my computers back. I called the police department and they stated it was a civil matter. (Event #***********). I contacted the ***** Secretary of State to file a lawsuit against the company; I learned that ECP Computers business was terminated 10/31/2008; (File #*********. It was recommended that I contact the ***** ************************ as well as file criminal charges. The computer values is over ******** is value.Business response

Afternoon,
We're replying to the false statements that have been made by *********** regarding repair work that was requested and approved over the phone and that our current business status isn't valid.
On 3-22-23 *********** dropped off three used older laptops in various states of non-working condition.
The customer requested to have data moved from one system to another and determine what was wrong with another laptop that wasn't working.
All systems are checked in an as-is condition as we're not able to see what problems currently exist until we start our diagnostics and service work.
The customer is told that before any work is performed we will contact her with a quote before any repair work is started, and she agrees to leave us the three older / used laptops and takes her signed repair agreement.
Over several phone calls the customer was provided the repair cost to have the units fixed with data transferred, On 3-26-23 the customer "***********" gave approval for $****** before tax to be performed.
Problems found during diagnostics included a bad hard drive, battery, and several none functional keys which is to be expected due to the age and overall condition of the equipment left for repairs.
On 3-28-23 all service work was completed and the customer was called to pick up her machines. Since the customer has brought in used older ******************** we offer no warranty on the units other than
the hardware we've installed which is covered by a manufacturer warranty.
During pickup, she informed our staff that the amount due of ****** before tax wasn't the approved amount and that she wanted the units returned to their original condition at the time of drop-off.
*********** left and then contacted us again on 4-16-23 and was informed that since all work was already completed and she approved everything over the phone we couldn't adjust the price
or return her equipment until payment was received.
Regarding the statements made regarding the store being closed since 2008, the store has been sold several times over the years and everything as of 2023 is current with all legal channels.
Resolution desired,
Pay for the work that was approved and completed.

Please Assist with providing the name of the current owner; including any current registration & DBA, Secretary of *****, the Legal Owner for the Business; including the Registered Agent for the current owner ( 3/2023 to present).
Please provide a copy of the Authorization Form for Repair(2) copy of business policy & procedure for computer repair (3) Any and All agreement related to repair and work performed on computer units?

Please provide documentation for equipment that has been left for service
Proof of purchase that includes make, model number and serial numbers for the equipment in question.
Ensure all original documents are clear and legible and include the retail store or merchant name, location, date and price paid for each device.Once we have received supporting documents we reach out once we've had a chance to review.
