***** Husband has received partial payment for concrete work and has not performed the work and will not return phone calls or text messages. I have attempted to contact him on several different occasions over the last several months. He initially started this project about a year ago. The project included pouring 2 concrete slabs (a larger slab 20ftX25ft and a smaller slab 20ftx10ft). Although it took an usually long time for him to complete the larger slab, he did complete it and spread the dirt around it as per our agreement. He indicated that the extra time it took him to complete the larger slab was due to his busy schedule, weather, and scheduling the concrete. He was paid in full for that portion. We discussed him pouring the smaller slab and agreed upon a price. As part of the workscope for the smaller slab, we discussed installing a drain line for the smaller slab. He initially dug out the area and placed the foundation form boards. I gave him a partial payment for the concrete last year (2021) and to date he has not returned to complete the job or refund me any money. He seems to be avoiding my calls/texts. On one occasion he showed up to my residence unannounced (without calling, texting or knocking on the door) to look at the job he did not finish. He indicated that he would schedule the concrete pour that week or the following week. However, that did not happen. On a second occasion (about 4 months ago or so), he showed up again to my residence unannounced (without calling, texting or knocking on the door) to look at the job. I spoke with him and he indicated that he would be pouring that week. However, that did not happen. He has failed to complete this job. He has failed to keep his word. He has not responded to my attempts to contact him. I no longer want his service and have requested a refund for the smaller slab worksope. He has consistently delayed this job for one reason or another and he does not operate with integrity.
