I canceled my membership several months ago back in August and continued to be billed. I canceled my membership earlier this week and continued to be billed. I have not received a refund despite having my services canceled 5 months ago.. I was charged for 5 months worth of membership 161.39 all at once despite having my membership canceled. ******* ***** refuses to give me my refund.Business response

I first heard from ****** ****** on October 27th, 2021. ****** opened her membership in July of 2021 with an open contract. This means that a member can cancel at any time with a 30 day notice and one more payment paid as per gym policy and detailed in the contract she signed and received via email. She stated many different dates of when she reportedly canceled her membership when speaking to her on the 27th of October. First she told me she canceled in July. Her BBB report says August. There was not any type of documentation to support either cancellation. Later in the conversation on October 27th, ****** stated that she canceled on October 22nd 2021-which I believe is the accurate cancelation date. Attached is a copy of the contract signed which details our cancellation policy. There is also a document called "ABC History." This is documentation that shows that ****** was repeatedly contacted by phone, text and email regarding her delinquent account issues. ****** chose not to follow up with any of these methods of contact to take care of her account. The last document shows WHY the 161.39 was taken out. Our financial company tried to pull payment for her contract for several days in August, September and October. Finally on 10/22/21 the money was able to be drafted. Sidenote: ****** was extremely rude and threatening on the phone about the money that was drafted. However, if the contract had been canceled as required by the terms and conditions there would not have been any reason for ****** to be so furious.
