      Over the course of 2021, I was seeing Dr ***** ***** at Golden Triangle Foot and Ankle at Beaumont, TX office location. My treatment completed in December 2021. Due to the office requiring me to prepay when they were unable to verify my insurance charges, I had overpaid about $117 dollars. At my last appointment, I asked for it to be refunded. I was told a check would be issued in January. That never occurred. I called and left a single message in May 2022 but did not receive a return call. In October 2022, when now multiple offices owed us refunds for the same reason, I contacted them all to get refunds. All others delivered refunds within a week of requesting. GT Foot and Ankle stated that they would mail the check on October 21, 2022. They even called me back to state they misprinted the check for November 1, 2022 and asking if it was ok to send as is, to which I stated that was no problem, that if received early, I’d gladly hold til then. At the end of two weeks, I had not received the check and called to check the status, left a message and got a return call. They claimed it had been mailed and I would have to wait a little longer. At the end of the third week, I called letting them know they needed to find a way to get the refund to me as it is coming up on one year since they first stated they’d refund it. They initially told me I’d have to wait longer. I let them know that was not acceptable to which they offered to stop payment and issue another check but would deduct the expense of the stop payment. As they mailed the check without tracking information, per their own admission, they are unable to show that it was mailed, so any charges for their failures are their own responsibility, and I let them know such. They stated they’d let the doctor and the office manager know. I let them know I’m willing to file in small claims court. This is an attempt to avoid that cost and trouble for both parties.

      Golden Triangle Foot and Ankle has called me to let me know I can pick up the refund check in full in their office.  That resolves my complaint.  Thank you.
