We hired American Roofing and Construction on 8-20-22 for repairs due to flooding from failed sewer drain pipes from kitchen and laundry. It was an internal and external failure. She was hired for water mitigation, demo of damaged flooring in kitchen, laundry and the continuation of flooring through the living room, dining room, hall and front bedroom. She also told us she could help us with the sewer repair. She was asked on two separate occasions if she was sure she could do the plumbing. We were assured she had a licensed plumber and would have to pull permits and have it inspected, neither of which was true. After the job was complete and we started having multiple issues with severe odor and backflow issues we found that no permits were pulled and she did not have a licensed plumber. She accepted $2,000 from insurance payment for foundation access as well as our $3,000 deductible for the sewer repair. We would like ARC to refund us $3,814.12 for the repairs of the plumbing to correct the improperly installed plumbing. We have had multiple issues from lost parts from our kitchen faucet, P-trap under kitchen sink not properly tightened both of which caused flooding from under the sink as well as the larger issues of horrible odor from harmful sewer gases and backflow issues. we have also had issues with the flooring that was installed. They put down and pulled out flooring multiple times in several areas in several rooms. We would come home to them using and ruining multiple items that belonged to us to complete the job, such as our wheelbarrow, two step stools one of which was brand new, multiple brooms and our pushbroom and long handled sgueegie.
