I contracted ****** de ******************* to construct a wooden privacy fence 200 feet in my back yard. He stated they had a 5 year warranty and would come by each year to check for issues with fence. I was required to pay half upfront by check. The check was cashed within 36hrs. There are some small trees and shrubs along a neighbors old fence and he stated he would cut those down. He promised to keep me informed. The job was supposed to start. March 15 And complete in 2 days. I didnt hear from them until March 15, He stated the materials were back ordered and would arrive. March 19. No further contact. I called and texted them several times becoming quite anxious. Again no response. I threatened legal action and finally received a response text March March 27 that their father had passed and they were busy with the funeral. Again I stressed they had to get in touch with me but no further response. I requested to build the fence without delay or provide a refund by cashiers check or cash, immediately. No further response received. The address list on the BBB is not a correct address for their business. I am elderly and on fixed income, this is fraud and theft of $3300.00Initial Complaint

***** came out on Monday, March 6, 2023. He gave us a quote to extend our existing privacy fence. We liked him and wanted to hire him, so we gave him $950 via Zelle. He said he would come back the next day to do the work. On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, ***** called from his bank saying the funds were on hold with his bank and wouldnt be available until Friday. Ok, that sounds like a you problem. He explained he needed the funds to buy the materials. Thats when things felt off. He asked me to meet him at the store to buy the materials. No. He said fine and hed come do the work Wednesday. All of a sudden, he said it was supposed to rain (it wasnt) and he would be here Thursday at 9:45 AM. He actually showed up at 11:45 AM. He and his friend dug some holes. They said they were waiting for another person to deliver the supplies. He ended up going to lunch and never came back. I called my bank and the police, but now he is $950 richer and I have 5 holes in my yard.Initial Complaint

Hired Manual ******************* to install fence on my property. Quote was to **************** by 12/6/22, starting on 12/6/22. Entire fence was to be replaced, and then stained. Also wired gate was to be repaired. On 12/5/22, no show, so I called company. ****** said his trailer broke down with my fencing material on it. He asked to complete work on 12/12/22 at 9AM and complete prior to Thursday of that week. Again, no show. called his office girl, ******, his father and ******, no response. Texted, again, no response. Went to police station to file theft of services complaint. They got no response from above individuals either. I live on SS, and I paid Manual a ******* check to buy fencing and paint material. Check is cashed, but no show on contractor.Customer response

I hired them on August 16th; 2022 to replace my fence. They came on on August 16th and tore down two sides. Put new fencing up along the back on August 19th. Im still waiting for the fence on the street side to be put up. And the third side needs to be tore down and replaced. And, like an idiot, Ive paid $12,200.00 to them. The *******, ******************* came out on September 2, 2022, and said the crew was on the way but he had to go to *******. I contacted him around noon that day since they didnt show up. He told me they didnt have all the 2x4s. Since then he has ignored all my texts and his voice mail is full. If you cant resolve, will you refer me to an attorney who can. Ive attached the photo of contact.
