On Oct 23rd, 2023 I reached out to ******************************* in an attempt to get a quote for a room floor. After measuring it, (approximately 500 sqft) we agreed on the price of $3,250. The job is scheduled on November 1st and he came to show me samples of colors. I noticed the sample was rough on the surface and asked him if the floor would be the same when it was done. He reassured it would not. On November 3rd he started the job. He called before leaving that day and asked if I would text him my information so he could send me the contract through email. I texted him my information but I never received a contract. The next day he came to finish the floor and said he dropped a bill in my mailbox. Later on I saw the bill from King ***** and he put 8.25% tax on $3,250 which made up to $3,518.13. It surprised me as we agreed on $3,250 including materials, labor and everything. I brought this issue up to him and he said he did the invoice and that I only paid $3,250. I was not happy with either the floor or his character. Nonetheless he promised he would fix the floor until Id be happy if I paid him. Believing in what he said again, I paid him. On November 14th, he came to pick up the check. When I requested an itemized invoice, he sent me an invoice from a company, Slabworks Flooring and More. He asked me not to write a check to King ***** but to another company that I didnt have any of contact with. Only I wrote a check to his name, *******************************. As of now, the floor is having air bubbles, marks, spots missing color and the back room unfinished. I contacted him a few times trying to get it fixed and it was all the runaround from him. Throughout the business with these companies I found them untrustworthy, unprofessional, lack of transparency and communication. I want to request a refund as the work is incomplete and unsatisfactory. Im filing a complaints to King ***** and Slabworks Flooring and More as he claimed he own them both. We went and showed her samples and she approved the color and texture.
She informed us afterwards that its was not what she wanted.
We went back and smoothed it by screening it with a floor machine and applied another coat of clear finish.
She was not satisfied, at that point she said she wanted it completely smooth.
We went back again and grinded it down smooth.
We scheduled appointments to look at the floor and discuss it. However she canceled on several occasions and that was the last we heard from her
At this point we are not sure what would satisfy her However Id like to make things right. I dont think she wants us back in her house on her floor again.
But Id like to offer her half of her money back

Being that she still has a floor with a very duarable, strong coating. Also we had expenses on our end.
Please understand we want to work this out and that the customer is satisfied. To this end, please advise us on how we can proceed.
We take great pride in our work and have build a reputation on customer satisfaction. We have references to show work we have done in the past.
I honestly feel the main problem was communication in that we did not understand what she really wanted.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However i would like clarify that I didnt cancel on any appointments with ******************. On my records, he cancelled the meeting a couple times either because of his truck broke down or he was on a trip in Vegas and did not show up at the appointments. I can provide the history of those appointments if needed.Since the business offer a solution, Id want to accept it and move on from this experience.

I am rejecting this response because:I responded to his answer and agree with his offer to refund me half of my money back. I havent heard anything from him since then to receive my refund as he stated in his response.
