In 04April2023 I went to Principle Hyundai and traded in my 2022 Hyundai Tucson, and leased a 2023 Tucson. The outstanding payments on the 2022 were supposed to be canceled. On 12April2023 Hyundai Motor Finance (HMF) auto-withdrew a car payment from my back account in the amount of $775.68; the monthly car payment on the 2022 Tucson. I called Hyundai Motor Finance and told them I traded in the 2022 Hyundai. They told me they needed official notification from Principle that the car was traded in. Since speaking to HMF I have contacted Principle five times: left voicemail for original salesman (no return call); spoke to another salesman (told me he would take care of issue); spoke to female at HMF who answered ************ phone (she took down my information and said she would pass it on to Finance); left a message on Principle's website in the Contact section; and engaged in Live Chat on their website asking person to have someone contact me ASAP regarding this matter. As of 21Jul2023 I have not received any return communication(s) from Principle, and have not received a refund or explanation for the $775.68 charge from my bank account.Business response

Hyundai Motor Finance mailed a check for the overpayment in May but their system shows it was never cashed. The check might have been lost in the mail.
We have requested another check be mailed to us via Fed Ex. As soon as we receive the check, we will issue a check to the customer.
Thank you

I purchased a new vehicle as well as the extended warranty (protection plan) from Principle Hyundai Boerne on 11/26/21. On 11/29/21 I met with the finance manager to cancel the extended warranty and was told it would take up to 2 months for Hyundai (corporate) to process the cancellation. I am accruing interest on the extended warranty amount of $1,999 until the cancellation is processed with the lien holder. I had called a couple times to speak with the finance manager to find out the status. Each time I was told that Hyundai had not processed the cancellation yet and that the finance manager would find out the status and call me back. No one ever called back. On 1/19/22 I took matters into my own hands and contacted the protection plan department at Hyundai to get the status of the cancellation. I was told that Hyundai posted the cancellation either on 12/23/21 or 12/28/21 and notified the dealership (Principle Hyundai ******) that they could send the refund the check to the lien holder of my loan. I attempted contacting the finance manager several times and left messages. He was either not at his desk or in a meeting, and his voicemail was full so I could only leave messages with sales persons. The finance manager returned my call one time on 1/20/22 at 7pm, but I was unable to answer right away. I called right back a few minutes later, but the office had already closed (the dealership closed at 7pm). On 1/21/22 I attempted reaching the finance manager at the dealership again several times, to no avail, and my issue is still unresolved. I need for Principle Hyundai ****** to submit the extended warranty refund in the amount of $1,999 to the lien holder asap!!Business response

The customer signed acknowledgement form agreeing to purchase the warranties.
We are sending her the form for the customer to cancel the product and get a refund.
