-The work was estimated to be completed in 2 days but lasted 6 days; even then we had to have them return at least twice to fix issues. There are STILL some issues that have never been resolved, & Im quite sure the owner will not be willing to take care of them after seeing this review.-On at least 2 occasions, to include the last time workers returned to fix some issues with the roof, the workers reeked of marijuana. I don't care if someone smokes weed, but it becomes a problem when you smoke weed & then get on a ladder to work on our roof. That's a potential safety issue, & I cant imagine they did good work while high. I have no idea where the owner got the employees he used, but it doesnt give the impression that the owner really knows who hes hiring when some of them show up on the job site after having smoked weed in their vehicles.-The subcontractors who installed the gutters showed up to our house demanding payment because the check they received from the business owner bounced. We paid the business owner, who was then responsible for paying the ************************ for their work. The subcontractors demanded that either we pay them or they would file a mechanics lien against our property. They could not file that lien because we did not have a direct contract with them, but they should never have come to us demanding payment in the first place. The owner was responsible for paying them; we already paid for the work.-The gutter subcontractors relayed to my wife that the business owner referred to my wife, on more than one occasion during his conversations with the gutter subcontractors, as a b**** & a stupid b**** Highly unprofessional.-We asked the owner for a copy of the permit for our records. He stated that a permit was not necessary for the new roof, but I called the ******************* & confirmed that a permit was, in fact, required. He did not apply for a permit & the work was done without one.We must now have a reputable company fix this problem.

      To whom it may concern,

I have helped the homeowners with their roof to their satisfaction. And have apologized for any inconvenience many times. Unfortunately you can't please everyone. There is no need for a replacement of their roof. I've inspected it and have had another roofer confirm that it was Installed properly.

I am rejecting this response because:

We have NEVER said the is***s were resolved to our satisfaction.  Look at the videos and pictures attached, and we have a LOT more we can provide.  This business has not lived up to its promises.

Also, the owner claims another roofer has inspected the work and said its up to standard.  The roofer he references is his own employee, not an independent contractor.  We have had five (5) different companies come do inspections and every single one said the job is awful.  The owner did not hire anybody who is actually licensed to do the work but rather sought out cheap laborers who claimed to have experience.  He knows his employees did a substandard job and is too cheap to fix the is***s.

I am more than happy to provide more photos, as well as inspection reports from other companies.  I was limited to five attachments but that does not come close to showing all the problems.  We have a LOT of photos, as well as videos, provided by contractors who actually know what theyre doing.  Unfortunately I cannot resize the videos to fit as an attachment on this form, but I am more than happy to provide all of those, as well as all of the pictures we have, if there is another way to do that.  Suffice it to say that the pictures show that tons of exposed nails were left on the roof that were not caulked; one of the contractors who came out to give an estimate was nice enough to caulk the ones he could, but there are MANY more on the top of the roof and all around the sides of the house.  Also, absolutely no caulking was done to seal around any of the pipes on top of the roof, and that is absolutely terrible work.

If the owner wants to resolve this complaint, he can redo all the shingles on the sides of the house and fix the is***s on the actual roof.  The owner is well aware of the is***s we've had with the shingles falling off the sides of the house because they were not put on properly.  This form does not allow me to upload enough pictures to show everything, and I left off pics of the sides because he already knows what's wrong there.  We paid for work and expected it to be done correctly, but it wasnt and were not going away.  If the owner doesn't want to fix every is*** with the roof before the one year workmanship warranty expires, we will have no choice but to *** ********** This is not the route we prefer to go, and I know for a fact he doesn't have the money to pay out for the terrible job he did once we win our case (plus pay his lawyer fees, plus ours that we will seek to have paid since we wouldn't have to *** if the job was done correctly in the first place).  It would be much more beneficial to him financially to get people out here who know what they're doing to fix every is*** with this house.  The work is unacceptable and he knows it.  He would not be happy if he paid someone to do his roof and it was done this poorly.

      Regards,

********************* doing business as CC remodeling and Construction LLC installed flashing on my back porch 11 February 2022 to repair leaking. He charged $650 and offered a 2 year waurentee. The first rain March 23 the repair leaked. My wife called him the next day. He said you would repair 3/28 you were a no show with no call or text .I left you a message 3/29 to call me with no response, and my wife sent a text,. 11 April my wife called spoke to him and he stated he would be here at noon. She was home all day and no show or contact. It is frustrating waiting for appointments, not showing and no contact. My wife again called April 12 and 13 and left messages. Both messages asked to return call and stated my intent to file a complaint if no response. April 12th, I sent him an email asking to resolve before I filed a complaint. To date no response. Doing a repair and not honoring a waurentee is a unacceptable business practice.

Yes. This was my customer and I did the job they paid me for. It was a small flashing repair. No replacement of anything. I also told him that there are no warranties for repairs. I only warranty my full roof replacement.
